East Coast Euro C63 Billet/Poly Engine and Transmission Mounts

East Coast Euro is proud to be the creator of the first billet/polyurethane performance engine and transmission mounts for the C63.

Engine Mounts:

Our C63 billet/poly engine mounts are fully serviceable, with different hardnesses of polyurethane available. These ECE mounts provide better engine stability and throttle response than the OEM mounts do, transferring more power to the rear wheels. OEM mounts do a great job of isolating engine vibration due to the fluid-filled rubber design, but unfortunately can fail under heavy load. Spirited driving or drag racing leads to premature failure of the OEM mounts. ECE billet/poly mounts address this common issue, using a stronger material and being fully serviceable with replacement inserts available. An easy way to check the engine mounts in your car is by pressing on the circular rubber cover on the bottom of the mounts. If it is soft, the mount has failed and the fluid is in the bottom of the mount. When choosing your polyurethane hardness, take into consideration that the harder the polyurethane you choose, the more vibration is transferred to the chassis. We recommend the 40 polyurethane hardness, creating a good balance between engine stability and street comfort.

Transmission mounts:

Our C63 billet/poly transmission mounts are the first performance transmission mounts for the C63. These ECE mounts provide better transmission stability than OEM mounts do. They are fully serviceable and there are two polyurethane hardness ratings available. The 60 polyurethane hardness rating strikes a fine balance between transmission stability and street comfort. The 80 polyurethane hardness rating is stiffer and is best for racing applications or maximizing transmission stability.

All East Coast Euro mounts come anodized black, and are created and assembled in the USA. We currently have the mounts in our supercharged shop car and have been testing them with great results. We've tweaked the design slightly to bring you a more sleek, modern look. ECE engine mounts preorder price is $465 shipped to the lower 48 states. ECE transmission mounts preorder price is $175 shipped to the lower 48 states. We do ship internationally for an added shipping fee. Please contact us with any questions or to place an order!

Current prototype mounts prior to anodizing:

This is what our E55 mounts (that are currently installed internationally) look like anodized and the inner workings of the mount:

Awesome this is exciting stuff.

For anyone one trying to get a better sense of what the durometer rating means (I assume we’re talking about A scale here). I’ll take mine in A80 please.

I wish I had looked into mounts like these in 2016 when I replaced mine. Next time I have to do them I will definitely do these.

Guess this is going to take some guinea pigs to determine what durometer will retain that oem feel (meaning no extra vibration transferred into the cabin). No plans on bringing my car to the track but I do drive her hard on the streets.

On a prior boosted car I tried everything from 65a, 75a, 85a and 95a durometer mounts. I would doughnut every durometer except 95a. Obviously the design for the c63 is different and warping the poly doesnt look like it would happen.

East coast euro.....you recommend 40 to "create a good balance between engine stability and street comfort." Can you elaborate...have you tested this durometer on the c63? If so, is there any additional vibration felt in the cabin when idling in park and/or drive?

Thanks. This design is unique and the casing provides support for the polyurethane. We haven't tested 80A but it may be overkill unless you're ok with vibration in the cabin .

Hi, we have the 40a engine mounts in our shop C63 and we don't notice a difference in vibration in park/drive versus OEM. The poly inserts are supported by the housing and pedastal. Each mount has 12 inserts. Here's a picture of the early E55 model for illustration.

What's the expected lifespan of these? How much stiffer than stock are the 40A?

We don't have an expected lifetime but they should last a very long time. Stock if fluid filled so it doesn't have a rating. In terms of in cabin vibration it feels like OEM

i think he is asking is the 40a stiffer then stock or a better designed oem style mount. If you wanted a higher durometer for a stiffer feel?

Yes it is stiffer than stock and should be considered a performance upgrade while still maintaining OEM like cabin feel

So..I have my engine mounts to replace, but I'm going to have the car back on the road in april. Is there an expected shipping/production date? If I preordered would that be enough time to receive them? If so, let me know and I'll place an order immediately

We are targeting 4-6 weeks which would be before April. Thanks

I'll definitely let you know how they are. I have my order placed now. It just makes sense, especially considering the OEM mounts seem to be built to prioritize comfort over durability

As a follow up we tested the 60A durometer in our C63 and there is noticeable vibration in the cabin. The engine doesn't seem to move at all. We don't see a need to go any stiffer. The 40A is the best for street cars that want to maintain OEM comfort while still having more engine support

$500 shipped for engine mounts to Canada is the pre order pricing. Add $170 for trans mount as well.

Here is what a completely failed engine mount looks like. With the car in gear and foot on the brake the engine jumps with throttle. You might feel some vibration at stops. Check your mounts!
