c63 19" w205 wheels on W204 pics

Since there are some sets of 19 " W205 wheels floating around now, I wanted to share pics of my car (W204) with them on to give an idea of how they look with the offsets and all. not lowered 245 on fronts 275 rears. If you buy a set with tires, you will have to get new rear tires as the w205 come with a 35 aspect rear tire which is too tall for our cars,

Also, as you can see there are no visible lug nuts. They are actually behind a metal wheel trim piece. You need a special tool (which I am trying to find a part number for) to be able to easily remove this cover/trim ring and access the bolts. My car almost got stuck on a lift when I got the tires done as they couldn't get the covers off these to install them.. you can manhandle them off , they do twist (thats what I ended up doing) but I don't recommend it.

They look great

What did they cost if you dont mind

Nice Mate! are you running 255/30 fronts and 275/30 rears? no rubbing issues and no spacers right?

Heres a couple where you can see fitment better. Fronts are 245/35 19" wheels are 19x8.5 ET 38 Rears are 275/30 19 wheels are 19x9.5 ET 56. I will update on rubbing after Ive driven a bit. No spacers and I believe factory ride height.

any rubbing issues mate thanks

Very minor only when going downhill over my rutted driveway and only on the pass rear. I ran my hand up there and feels like liner is a little bowed in causing a rub in the middle/ inner tire area. . No issues at all during normal driving , at speed, or over speed bumps, etc. Very happy with them

I'm running this setup now as well on OEM suspension. I have not had any rubbing issues, but I haven't fully loaded my car in the rear with passengers/luggage either. It's a bit difficult to get a good picture of black wheels on a white car, but hopefully this gives you an idea of how they sit.

The rear offset is quite high, so the chance of rubbing lies more on the inside. Here is a pic of the rear wheel/tire clearance with the fender liner at full droop.

do they fit without having to use spacers to clear our brake calipers? Any running issues on stock suspension at all?

thanks

Cwagon 02-25-2021 09:51 PM

Yes they will fit with out spacers especially if running stock 235/255 sizes.
Here are a few phone pics of mine with the stock W205 tires 245/35x19 & 265/35x19.
I was running spacers in the pics 3mm front & 4mm rear but have since removed the front ones and fitted them on the rear.
I had a slight rubbing on front when negotiating a big dip at speed 100kph+ on a country highway.
Otherwise no rubbing at all.

wow the setup looks amazing! Did you anticipate that the setup needed spacers before you mounted the wheels with the w205 tire sizes? And since switching to w204 tire sizes, you still have rear spacers mounted, does the rear need spacers to clear the brakes or was it more for the aesthetic?

I’m looking into a set of w205s with the 245/265/35 fitment and am wondering if I will need spacers in order to mount. Thank you for your input!

Cwagon 02-25-2021 11:46 PM

You misread my quote.
I am running the stock w205 tyres in those pics, 245/35x19 & 265/35x19.
Most W204 owners run 255,265 or 275 on a 30 series on the rear 9-10" width.
I'm staying with the 265/35 as I like how it fills the wheel well better than a 30 series tyre does
Also compared to 275/30( pretty normal size ) the speedo error is only 3% and I haven't had any rubbing in the rear what so ever.
https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...9-5&offset2=56
So when speedo is showing 110kph I'm actually going 113kph.
According to my GPS the 275/30 were spot on with my speedo.
With regard spacers I was never going to fit them, it was that after fitting the wheels and tyres without them I could see that there was room for a more flush look.
Here is a straight on pic before I fitted my proper caps with the 265/35 Michelin Super sport.

Apologies, as I did read your quote wrong. Looks really flush. Looks like I would need to order a 3mm spacer for the rear. Did you use extended bolts or OEM length bolts for your 3mm spacer? Thanks again.

Cwagon 02-26-2021 05:32 AM

You don't need the spacer, but does look a little better flush.
3mm spacer should be fine with std bolts.
I actually run studs as it makes removing/replacing wheels simpler.
Plus if you have a flat at night there is no need to feel around trying to find the stud hole or use a hole locating tool.
You just lift wheel onto studs and center on studs and fit nuts.

Not sure if you care but I would be bothered by the fender gap being lower in the rear than the front. Looks like the car is squatting.
just like the picture below.

no rubbing with a one inch drop on KW coilovers. I didn't have any sidewall rubbings issues at the stock height as well. 235/35 and 265/30 PS4. These wheels were from the sedan model since the coupe had 19inch front and 20 inch rear. These wheels are almost perfect except the rears were not 100% flush compared to the front. Once the rear tires are toast, I'm considering a 5mm-10mm spacer and trying to squeeze a 275/30 in the rear to make it a perfect cosmetic fit.
