Fidelity Extended Warranty coming from a MB CPO Warranty
I thought I would give a heads up to everyone regarding Fidelity extended warranties on CPO cars...
My car's CPO warranty runs out in August of this year. It was originally placed in to service in Aug 2013, so the factory warranty expired last August. I requested a quote this morning and was told the Fidelity warranty needs to be in place within 30 days of the factory warranty expiring, that the CPO doesn't count. I never knew that or I would have pursued last year, Oh well - I've been on the fence about it anyway. I may look at the MB extended, but the rates below I thought were pretty good:
Assuming there is at least 30 days remaining on the original 4 year factory warranty (CPO coverage
doesn’t help), here’s all the basic info and quotes:
Vehicle: 2014 - 2018 Mercedes C63 with less than 10,000 miles:
Fidelity Platinum w/ $250 deductible:
5 yr / 75K - $1827.00
6 yr / 60K - $1711.00
6 yr / 72K - $2005.00
6 yr / 100K - $2497.00
7 yr / 70K - $2072.00
7 yr / 100K - $2686.00
8 yr / 80K - $2517.00
10 yr / 100K - $3166.00

This is great info, thanks.
Please keep us posted in regards to MB extended warranty rates. I believe my CPO warranty expires in June this year so I might start shopping shopping soon as well.

I’d try another source OP. I’ve purchased five Fidelity polices for various cars of mine and it wasn’t required to have the factory warranty in place. If anything, they’ll ask you to do a multi point inspection before purchasing to make sure there isn’t any pre-existing conditions.
I was quoted around $5k~ to extend the CPO warranty on my BS for an additional two years last April.
Because OP’s car is a 2014 has less than 10k miles. It says in his post.

Currently looking for a GL63, and I contacted Troy Dietrich at Toyota Ford of Greenfield re Fidelity extended warranty. The car I asked about is a '14 w/38000 miles and still has about a month left on the 4/50 factory warranty. He responded quickly, but the cost was crazy:
Fidelity Platinum w/$250 deductible
2/24 - $3628.00
3/36 - $5385.00
4/48 - $7416.00
He explained that options are limited/pricey based on MY, but that is still way more than expected with a low mileage car still under factory warranty. Anyone have better luck with other dealerships? FYI I contacted Michael Jourdan at Mossy Motors (saw his name in a Porsche forum), and he has not responded.

Thanks, AMGonFire - Just contacted Justin McCormack at Loeber re Fidelity warranty. BTW, I have moved on from the MY14 to a MY15 with 38k and until 1/2019 on the 4/50 warranty, so hopefully the prices will be significantly lower than the quotes I got on the 14. If anyone is actually reading this thread, let me know and I can post the numbers when I get them.

Interested... about to buy a used w205 C63s and am considering an extended warranty. What kind of rates did you get from Mercedes? Can someone still get an extended warranty from MB even if purchased 2nd hand from a private party or brand X used car dealer? What has Fidelity been like for actual coverage on repairs? All I hear is how terrible most 3rd party warranty/service contract companies are when it comes to actually covering whatever the necessary repair is at the time it happens. Thanks!

Fidelity is one of the best when it comes third party warranties. They’ve easily covered over $30k of repairs on our current S65 AMG. On my old M5 they even covered the SMG clutch and flywheel! Repairs on that car totaled out around $25k. The S55 AMG we had prior was the worst in repair figures!
