Get a c63 at 19?

I dont know you but if you are a typical 19 year old, you will get tickets and see your money disappear and even get your dl suspended.

If thats worth it for you than by all means knock your self out. You'll have a blast, you'll go to car meets and meet a lot of people with similar interests.

I think you already knew the answer to your own question. You probably came here just to let everyone know you can afford one at that age. Sharing how much you make is giving it away.

Congratz.

Invest in a porsche. They'll be worth something when you are 25

Dont hate me, Im giving you good advice. The advice I wish someone gave me before I bought my first AMG.

I had thousands of dollars of tickets and my dl suspended for a year. Not to mention a few minor wrecks while doing stupid **** in canyons.

Now when Im older, I want a fine car that'll be worth something some day. Hoping these cars will start appreciating at some point.

He did, he needs attention, could be a single child or trust fund etc. Regardless he put that question to get a reaction and read them and in reality can't afford it or really acquire it.

Uncalled for IMO. He asked a question. lots of people had inputs and shared stories. Isnt this a Forum after all? Whats the difference between that and someone posting about the KW V3s, HRE wheels and LTH they installed. That could also be considered gloating.. There are been much dumber questions on this forum I think, lol

And besides, if he were a trust fund kid, pretty sure 1. He wouldnt be working. 2. He'd make more than 48k/yr

i have plenty of friends also know those who have had a trust fund, inheritance and still have jobs and career. So you are very naive.

Problem with all these potential buyers is there has been quite a few in the last couple of weeks. All asking shyt thats been asked before, while current members get told to use the search tool. As far as this being the same as an install thread or product review, cmon man. Those threads make people aware of potential mod options or some diy help. This type of thread is only good for chit chat and hearing different points of view. But how does the opinion of people who dont even own the car help the w204 amg community? OP with all due respect if you're going to get the car, get it and stop asking for people's approval. So until you buy it....

Nevermind, but don't make me bring back 50.

Sorry but buying a car as an investment is silly. 99.999999999% of cars will decrease in value the second you drive them off the lot.

If someone tells you a car is an investment, laugh at them as you are running away.

There must always be that one group of douchebags
The man asked a question regarding his current situation. If you don't have anything to say regarding his situation, then get the hell off the man's thread!
Why must you come here and talk about what kind of person he is? Even if he is someone who just wants to brag that he can own a C63 at the age of 19, what is it to you?

Cant handle the truth?

If you are talking about me, you might need to reread my post.

I say it how it is because I've been through it.....and no I could not afford a c63 at 19 and no I do not own one now but I knew friends who took out loans to buy $40k e55 at the time and they were making less than me.

I worked hard, saved my money, and bought a car I wanted in cash. It wasn't a lot of money but it was a smarter decision than tying my self into a 30-40k car loan. I wont even do that now

There are good decisions then there are bad. Just coz itll be fun it doesn't mean its a good decision.

This isn't about a c63, this is about a car that'll get you in trouble if you are a typical 19 year old. now Im not saying the OP is but chances are...

And whoever said all cars depreciate as soon as they are driven off the lot....yes you are right but look into older cars that are climbing in value that are just as fun.

Shift times are marginally improved over a C350 with DHP, and suspension and steering components are simply strengthened and stiffened. The C63 is actually heavier due to the larger engine, so on a track, it is not "8x" the car of a C350. I'm not saying the changes are not significant, but I'm stating that the upgrade is simply not worth switching from a newer C350 to an older C63.

Be satisfied with your C350, and when the time comes, upgrade to a Porsche. Much smarter decision than spending a huge portion of your income on a car and leaving no money to save for investments. Just my 2 cents.
Interior seats are not the same AMG has real leather.

just wanted to highlight that important part in terms of giving opinions about a particular car.

No. If I was directing my post at you, I would have quoted your text.
At least you then gave him some decent advice after assuming that he is an average 19 year old that just wants to brag a little.

Get a e550 coupe. Same seats as the c63 coupe. Power wise the pre 12's had a na v8, m273 I believe. 382 hp stock then tune and some other mods youd be a 425-450 hp like I'm at on clk with same engine. Get a post 12 and it has that 4.6 bi-turbo engine. Simple tune and your over 500 hp as well. Insurance premiums should be lower as well as payments because its not an amg. More of a luxury car but with great power. Similar looks until 14 then it changed. Better to have options.
