Thanks both for your answers, this is the video from aznmode I mentioned for pre-facelift.
On facelift there is like a plastic cage for the Comand that makes difficult to access cables once ready to push and that forces you to push the comand straight, with no access at the bottom.
It seems that the big connector stay under the Comand but I can't see what is blocking.
I tried to unplug the car big connector to put cables another way but it's worse than before.

sorry for the dust...

There’s no secret magic trick here, we all struggled with it. You just have to keep trying different combinations of stuffing the wires back there until it all fits. Just be careful not to bend the fiber optic cable. It takes time and patience, keep trying.

Do you find that anything helps? Coat hanger, kitchen tools? Or just keep jamming your hands in there?

Just keep jamming. It didn’t take me more than 15min fiddling with it. It’s irritating but just keep moving things around and shining a flashlight back there to tell where you’re hitting things. After a few tries you should be able to find a combination that works. I think I had to lay the big black box connector flat all the way at the back. I got everything close enough that I was able to just push the command unit in the final 1/2” and get the screws in.

Raymond posted the video on the new/latest version of the display a few weeks ago which answers some more questions:

Remove the sponge that is at the firewall , It's not much but every little extra bit of room helps..
I used the biggest orange pry tool pictured here
https://image.dhgate.com/0x0/f2/albu...T7mhZEo709.jpg
Insert the headunit in approx halfway, then stick the pry tool around the back and try and push all the cables down. Having small hands helps, get your wife or kid to help.
Make sure the hazard light wiring doesn't get pinched while you're pushing the headunit in.
It still took me hours to get it back in.

Is it possible to run the AUX cable under the trim to inside the centre console?
Preferably without drilling any holes!
Don't like it just hanging out like that

If I wanna add the aftermarket back up camera option, does it plug in to this unit or to the command unit?

Silly question, but it must have a Bluetooth audio connection right? Do you recommend I buy any other cables with the unit ahead of time, or does it come complete?

Yes it does. When you install it, you need to disconnect ur bluetooth from the car, and connect to the unit

Mine's up for grabs, my plans changed. SNIB, current version, nothing has ever been taken out of the box. Including all fees USD cost was $693, selling for 22% off that, shipping CONUS paid by buyer. (Yes, that's 22%).

I understand there is already a newer version out. I haven't updated tho, although carlife-mall have advised they have it. TBH the novelty wares off - I only use it for GPS, Bluetooth music streaming and phone calls and it works perfectly. Dont regret it at all.

The website says "Android system 6 flashed to 8.1" so it is out now. Not sure if it's a simple update or not for the end user tho.

I've talked to the support at carlife-mall and they sent me the update files but also advised me that unless I have an actual problem with the Android screen to not update (I think that was the techs personal opinion) but I can't argue with that as firmware update like that can very easily brick an embedded unit.

The only two issues I have with my Android screen are
1. The video from the factory reverse / backup camera (2010 W204 pre-facelift) is VERY bright and colors appears washed out (especially if there is any ambient light around, sunlight or otherwise.) Does anyone else have this issue? I've tried tweaking the color setting and brightness, both with the built-in Android display settings and 3rd party apps but I haven't been able to get the backup camera color and brightness to any acceptable levels.
2. There seems to be ~200-300ms delay in navigation direction dictation, I pretty much only use Google Maps so I really should try something else like Waze, but I think this issue is probably across the system and has to do with some low level audio rendering delay from the OS to the car speakers. For example, while using Maps if the app should say "Turn left in 400 feet," only "---n left in 400 feet" will come through the car speakers (basically due the the delay, the beginning part or so of each 1st word is always cut off.)

Which unit do you have? 2GB Ram 32GB rom?
I also think the brightness is way to bright even tho i lower the settings on the next restart its again bright as if i didnt change the settings.
I had GPS problems earlier aswell when i had the GPS module behind the screen, now ive put the module at the windshield and they seem gone.

Can you provide a link to the Update files? Is it this: 4G奔驰UI02-2-国外-1280x480_v36_20190221 改安卓8.1.zip ?
