some fun with a '18 m6
14 c63
Weistec catless headers
Eurocharged v7
stock airboxes w/afe filters
93 oct. No e85 in tank for these runs

18 m6
owner said stock. looked like competition package

4 pulls
c63 starts in 3rd gear for first 2 runs. oops. very even
c63 starts in 2nd gear for last 2 runs and pulls a car length each run. m6 headlights in rear cam

Uhhh...I gotta agree with BLK on this one. Slowing down traffic enough that people are flashing their lights at you. And that second run...geezus. The M6 got close to the car in the middle lane. Keep it at the track or at least wait until the highway is empty. We all do pulls on our own or with a friend on the freeway, but there is a time and place. That didn’t look like the right time or place for that.

The vid shows the importance of starting a pull in 2nd @ ~40/45 rather than 3rd, that's for sure. Nice work I had an encounter with a mildly tuned F10 a few weeks back.

Way too much traffic to do pulls like that. Do it at 2am where you don't put others in danger or even better take to a track.
I wouldn't even call it highway pulls. They are only going up to 100mph what a joke.
Would have been a better video if there were some blue light popping up behind you.

I raced an M6 Gran Coupe about a month ago.

2nd gear pull... by top of 3rd I was a car ahead. Surprised me...

I think a stock M6/M5 (4.4 turbo models) are around 122mph cars stock....FBO C63 on average tends to be...120-122....Race tunes tend to get around 125 on a W204...I'm guessing a strong V7 car is somewhere in between?

Agreed. That gap would of increased through the top of 3rd into 4th by starting in 2nd

A pull up to a 110 isnt a highway pull? Guess those speeds are good for local streets huh

Blue lights wouldnt of made a difference

I think that small amount of time it takes those turbos to spool is enough for our torque to pull ahead in 2nd.

Just a heads up... Mod for mod (tune / downpipes) a cls550 would pull on you.

Edit -- after some light digging it would actually be close. They may not pull on you, but it would be closer than you think.
