Chrome widow trim delete - Help Needed
So I attempted to do this yesterday, but when I got to the bottom window trim, I had a really hard time trying to get the 3M tape into the gap between the chrome trim & rubber.
I've watched a couple of video's and one on a Merc where the guy says to use a scraper or credit card to get in that gap, but I cant. I've attached a pic of exactly where im talking about.
Im curious to know, did anyone else have this problem, and how did u work around it?

If you want the cleanest look. Remove the trim. Wrap. Reinstall.
Its not hard.

So I guess im missing something... I removed the bottom trim to wrap it but it comes off as one piece (rubber + chrome trim), how does the rubber come away from the chrome?

I removed all the trim, sounds like you did to. You must be talking about the rubber piece that remains on the bottom portion even after you remove it I assume. I just actually eyeballed it, and it came out cleaner than cutting. I continued to wrap it over in the other places. Its still holding up.

I took the trim off when I did mine. I just carefully cut and left a few mm along the top side. Then I just pushed the rubber piece back while tucking the vinyl under it with a squeegee.
I think if I did it again I would leave the trim on, and use knifeless tape to make perfect cuts. Mine has a few imperfections I'm not 100% happy with, but no one else would notice them unless they new where to look.

You don't have to remove the rubber trim. However, depending on the car, it can be tricky making sure all of the dirt is fully cleaned out in between that tight gap/area. Also, depending on how the car is maintained, various waxes/chemicals can get stuck in there that can affect the vinyl adhering properly in that tight spot.
