Sticky emergency brake
Have to pull up the foot pedal to release. Releases fine on warm days. I'm thinking the cable needs lubrication. Google search shows people removing the back seat to get to the rear cable assembly. Would like to hear similar experiences and fixes. Thanks! |
The issue is not with the cable,but within the parking brake system!

Same issue, dealer replaced entire parking brake assembly for me under warranty so can't tell you what the cost is. Literally did it about 2 weeks ago.

--> Stupid question alert <--
When you guys say "replace the parking brake", you mean only pads, right? This warning just poped out last week for me. |
I've had that problem on both 2013s i've owned.

The pad is only a few dollars but if you want to save some money, you can reuse it. The pad is literally as easy as removing and putting back on a hand glove.
