2010 C63 stock tune file retrieval... How?
Hey guys!
I have been looking for the best tune for my C63 P31, and as of late I am going to be dealing with a company online in another country.. so they have asked me to send them my current tune file. And they can give me a tune that have for the car. They do not offer any hardware to go with this. Just the file.
If I purchase a my genius online would I be able to pull my tune file with it and send to them? I have done alot of research on the my genius and it seems to be "locked" to vendors tunes most of the time, would that be for any use at all? Or only for use with some of the larger tune companies A and B.
I also have access to fill STAR DAS software. But I don't really know how to use it, not sure if I could "pull the tune file" with this or not... Alos need to apply the new tune..
I am liking the option I have with the. To add a pop and barble option only to the sport mode button.
Hopefully I can find some hardware to allow me to do this.

Mygenius may be capable but the standard instructions only read your cars ID and not its tune. This identifier is read and provided to the tuning company and they return a tune file for you to upload.

I thought that if the my genius unit is purchased unlocked it will pull the tune file on first hook-up. Then being able to be copied onto laptop.
Anyone with my genius experience to chime in would be very appreciated.

It does not pull the stock tune. I learned that the hard way.
It only pulls out an ID for your car, which allows the tuners to identify specs. But it is not stock tune, mygenius won't work.

We have supportive vendors that can tune your car from A to Z with proven track records. They all offer off the shelf tunes with similar hp and tq results. I don’t know how much of an advantage your other company will provide over the proven guys with a complete start to finish solution. Between eurocharged and oetuning, they’ve probably seen all combinations of mods for this aged platform.
