So long, and thanks
Hi Everyone,
Well, over the holidays the decision was made to let go of my 2009 C63 (black with P30 package). If anyone has access to the auctions at Manheim I'd expect it to show up soon. My mistake was not buying an extended warranty when I bought the car. I ended up with what I think are a number of unexpected repairs on a car under 100k miles. Of course they weren't cheap fixes and I've finally said enough. Spending over $10k on repairs in less than 4 years just wasn't what I was expecting. I'll miss the power and the sound. Maybe some point in the future I'll consider a face-lift model. Anyway, thanks to all for the help and tips on this forum. Best of luck to you all and your cars. |
Out of curiosity, what were the repairs. I spent $12k on maintenance last year. While I didn’t enjoy that, I don’t want any other car. Best of luck with your next car. Mine is about to be sold (moving out of the country), but I can’t wait to get a facelift P31/P61 when I move back in a few years.

Damn that’s quite a bit, that’s why I don’t daily my C63. Properly maintenancing for these high performance cars can be a nightmare. I put about $2-4K miles on my c63 a year. Daily a Lexus GS F Sport for errands and stuff. I’m curious to know what you had to fix too. |

what did you spend 12k on in a year on? That’s way more then maintenance. That’s broken parts. |
Hope you get something else interesting next, any direction? Don’t feel too bad, although my C63 was not that bad over the past 3 years in terms of costs, the CLS55 I recently got had about $5000 of repairs in the past month. |
10k in 4 years is normal. You figure half of that is tires, brakes, oil, and filters.

How much are you all paying for A/B services?

When I did them at the dealer, A was about $200 and B was like $350. I just did them myself after the warranty. I will admit that swapping the cabin filter kind of sucks. $350 for a glorified oil change is kind of dumb IMO
