What car are people eyeing up after the w204 c63?
Just wondering what people are looking at for their next car. I like to look a few years out and dream, then pick it up when its 3 years old and taken a chunk of depreciation. As a smaller sedan I cant find anything out yet that will tempt me apart from the w205 c63 and im not a huge fan of the looks. m3 - just couldnt go back to a 6 m5 - bigger than i need e63 - same, too big alfa quadrifoglio - go back to a 6? Not likely audi rs4 - another 6 thoughts? Im starting to think ill have this car for a while.. |
Probably a W212 E63, W205 C63 sedan or possibly a Giulia Quadrifoglio. Only thing with the Alfa is there is no dealer or mechanic to work on them within an hour's drive/tow of me.
My AMGs have treated me very well too, so it would be hard for me to get a performance vehicle that wasn't an AMG to be completely honest. |
GTs AMG
By the time I get done driving the wheels off my W204, prices ought to be right about where I need them to be :-) |
I've been fortunate enough to buy a few cars since my w204, but this one is staying around. I only put about 6,000 miles a year on it, but when it does wear out, my next car might just be a low miles 507 sedan, if I can find one.
Bonesxxx, be careful with the GTs. I had eight warranty repairs in under two years. Buying one and owning one are different animals, but anyone with a 2008 C63 knows how that goes. |

E63 is too big? Itīs only 5 inches longer than C63... itīs a bit longer, and a byte faster.

I will end up with a GLC63 or a Macan Turbo. But the C63 is staying. Bang for the buck you cant beat it. For what they are selling for now, I might as well just keep it.

McLaren SLR 722

Honesty only car in my budget that would make me get rid of mine would be a 507. I would MAYBE consider a W205 C63. |
Im considering a 997 GT3 after the c63, but If im staying within the family it would probably be a 2015+ cls63 or a used gts |
I made the move from a F80 M3 to my C63 sedan and have been very happy other than the C63 cabin space is considerably smaller. Really doesn't matter unless I'm carting around my wife and 2 year old. I'd look into a 507 sedan or really low mileage C63 sedan for a next car (mine has 60k) or entertain a w205 C63, W212 E63, or X5M, Macan Turbo, GLE63 if I decide to go the SUV route.
|
A CLK 63 maybe? The looks on the w203 is just
But if the 3yr old car is the rule, I'd go for a C7 Corvette (American power for a change), or a manual drive 997.1 Turbo . |

For me, we have an addition to our AMG family.
Attachment 419288 Attachment 419289 The 507 has a little sister next to her now! 🙂 Unfortunately, the winter cold here in the Northeast (NYC Metro area) has the GTC parked in the garage. I only have 532 miles on her since late December. And with the latest forecast, the 507 with the Winter Tires will be the vehicle of choice for the foreseeable future! -C |

GT or G63 for me... Can't decide.
|
I was thinking a pre-owned r8 or GTR or 997 variant
|
Planning to add a G wagen or GTS.

E63 would be my first choice. Got rid of my G55 because of the stiff ride, amazing off road though. For those who brought up a Alfa, don't do it. They are owned and serviced by the same Maserati dealerships which have horrible service after purchase. Go to the forums and everyone have nightmare stories.

will likely hang onto the 507 forever, but am debating selling the 80 series LandCruiser for a G63 at some point and building it up for offroad / expedition trips....

Camaro ZL1 Conv 6-speed
* I've been a BMW owner most of my life.
* All have been convertibles and manuals. * Then I got tempted with a '15 C300 Sedan (mistake) and a '12 C63 Coupe (current and awesome!). * BUT, next car should be back to convertible and manual. * Now that I'm jaded with 450 HP, that's the baseliine. * And I don't have unlimited funds. * Ergo, Camaro Convertible 6-speed manual, either SS (maybe Hot Wheels Edition!) or ZL1. * YouTube MotorTrend ZL1: https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...7cc7e0b960.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...daa2dca0d1.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...8275f73631.jpg |

To be fair to the G wagon, I already have a bad lower back issue and the G jolting suspensions just kills me by the end of the day. Believe most guys that sell G wagons or sports cars have some sort of health problem. Have friends with G wagons that drive them all day with no issues, so it's just a personal choice. If you ever drove a pickup truck and don't slow down for bumps on the road, that's the feeling, like getting bucked off a horse. Exaggerating a bit, but that buck feeling is all day small or big. Just have to experience yourself.

Giulia Q.
By the time I'm ready for it, they will not be under factory warranty anyway. And we have a family owned Alfa dealership relatively close. But yes there's a dealership in the neighborhood Chrysler Fiat Alfa where they hate Alfa's and Fiats. |
