Product Information:

There's nothing quite like the Mercedes Benz W204 C63 AMG. Fitted with the monstrous M156 6.2L V8, the C63 rocketed past its competition, making it the fastest production 4-door car at its debut. At ESS, we think there's some improvements we can make on the C63, so we set our sights on cranking as much power as we could out of the M156 in our signature fashion without sacrificing anything in the way of smoothness or reliability.ESS first start by pairing the massive V8 with an equally massive 2.9L twin screw supercharger unit from Whipple, capable of producing over 1000hp that will easily quench the M156's thirst for fresh air. The lag-free performance of the supercharger means the C63 gets a massive jump in HP and Torque from idle to all the way to redline that'll match up to the performance of many exotics. A high capacity air to liquid intercooler is employed to ensure consistent performance over prolonged periods of time.

Finally, it's not an ESS Tuning system without our signature ECU software, which we bundle via an ECU E-flash cable. They think this is one of their best kits yet, resulting in over 577hp and 489 ft-lbs of torque to the wheels on the base C63 with the factory exhaust system. Like every supercharger system they make, ESS pays careful attention in ensuring OEM levels of detail and quality in everything that they do, from the quality of their milled brackets and overall engine bay aesthetic, to the civilized, smooth, and reliable power delivery of their engine tuning. You'll find that the ESS Tuning C63 W204 supercharger kit is perfection and exhilaration in every way, whether it's on a daily drive or a shakedown on the track.

Feature:
  • 6PSI Boost
  • 2.9L Whipple SC unit
  • Large capacity intercooler system
  • Perfectly matched ESS ECU software delivered through included E-Flash cable
  • +150WHP on PP cars, + 180WHP on base C63

Last I checked they werenít in stock. With 8 week lead time east coast euro said. Imho i donít think ESS is gonna be around much longer so I would look into other choices. Magnuson is not making any more units. I believe they have 5 left and under 7k. Just donít like idea of not having support for a product that they donít make anymore.

Weekend/Project - W204 C63.
I don't know about you but I have first hand experience with ESS and they are amazing. This is quite recent too as I've recently had my supercharger installed and AJ from ESS has been very, very helpful and hes been answering my questions in a very timely manner too.

I called in June . He had one system that was messed up that they fixed. They were on production hold from Whipple. Sent an email with no response

called this nimber *(480) 525-9160‬. Always goes to vmail. Regardless no big deal Iím runninb e85 and nitrous putting out way more power than the blower for 1/4 price.

Steel Grey Metallic C63!!
6k for a 2.9L whipple sc? That's awesome! I'm confused about why someone would be hesitant about buying a rebrand whipple stage 3 that is exactly the same as the weistec stage 3 blower unit. Am I missing something?

I did not say ESS wouldn't be around much longer. I said Magnuson is moving away from the C63 platform.

They are $9,995 retail. We did a group buy early last year.

you told me youíve been trying to get 3 orders filled from October in December. You had to cancel orders for customers because ESS wasnít delivering on deadline. You said at the rate of which ESS is going you donít understand how they will be in business in future. My shop as well has had issues getting product from them for the e9x M3ís.

I wanted the ESS blower. Thatís why I reached out in June to ESS and he told me October 15th they will have them in. Went through you to see if I can get a better price and you said they arenít in stock until this March. Thatís why I decided to go with the magnuson route until I found out they arenít going to make them anymore.

At this point the the only option is the Weistec units even though I prefer the ESS blower. Wish Weistec didnít sandwiched the intercooler on the stage 3 and dropped the price by 3-4K. Iíd be all over it.

Hey guys... what are those things that I should consider when installing the supercharger?

I already got:
  • Wiring harness for injectors- for plug and play without cutting or splicing the oem injector connectors and wiring harness
  • Billet pulleys
  • Brass plugs for the throttle bodies
  • Belt tensioner

what else should i consider to make the installation easier and reliable.

Hope my supercharger (ESS) shows up by February

Thanks all!

I'd put some new spark plugs when you are in there. An air oil separator (oil catch can), would be ideal too. A built transmission if you don't have a MCT would be an ideal upgrade to consider. Let us know how the install and your first impressions are. If you have any issues with install you can feel free to PM me.
