People running 20's on they're C 63-Opinions
I am considering a 20 inch set up. I would like to know anyones opinion who is actually running 20's on they're C 63. Has is negatively affected your performance, ride, any issues with fitment and maybe your setup details. Thank you in advance as it'll help me decide which route to go.

I think you should make another thread about it

Your risking bent rims and poor ride quality. 19s look plenty fitting on this car without sacrificing the ride quality like 20s would my opinion.

Thanks, The more Im thinking about it the less Im wanting to do 20's. I guess I wasnt thinking about the sacrifice in performance and ride. Problem is I love the wheel design I found and they dont make a 19. I am possibly going to wait or look for other options in 19 inch. |

I seen some 20s on a C300 with air ride car was sitting pretty but I think for c63 owners you wouldn’t want to give up any
performance for looks |

I see C63's running 20's and they are still performers from what I see:nix:. It makes me second guess. Hahaha

Sorry it’s just a bad idea. You are choosing optics (looks) over performance on a performance vehicle.

Decided I will not go beyond 19. After this thread I may not even upgrade past factory lol. If we wanna get real technical. I guess if I put Steelies on and never wash my car it would be better, who cares how your car looks anyway, right???!!!😂😂😂
but for real, thanks for the input fellas👍 |

To your question, Yeah, you can go to 20" wheels, but you run the risk of, at a minimum, knocking your car out of alignment the first good pothole you hit. You also run the risk of causing a bubble in the tire that (it's happened to me!) you can hit something hard on the outside edge of the tire and a bubble will form on the opposite inboard side where we don't look. You can bend those brand new rims. You can literally break those same new rims. I drive a Macan Turbo and the wife drives the '13 C63 AMG w AMG Dev Pkg. It came with 18's. I could not possibly try to increase the wheel size. The roads in Houston are ugly. As for San Francisco, I don't know. Your call. And blow off the a$$holes. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...937221eee9.jpg |

There are too many C63’s I see that have wrong offsets because “it’s what they offered for the car”, then put these skinny crappy tires on to help make them fit and not rub. So they are throwing traction and performance down the toilet by slapping a skinny tire on because of wrong offsets. |

What sort of terrain will you be traversing? Unless you’re rock crawling I don’t see any need for more than 18” wheels. I’d definitely recommend a 7” lift kit and some super swampers for your rig as well
