11.9 2.0 6ft

Hit up the track the other night and I cant get the darn car to put down a good 60 ft.

I had 100% traction but the electronics would just bog anyway.next time I will try race start but I never used it before.

Mods are
Oe 104 map
Row boxes
OEM filters
82mm tb
Stock exh
93 Oct fuel (I added 3 gallons ms109) but after this pass.
Trapping 120 all night

My best 60' was in dyno mode with nannies almost off. Cut a 1.70 with the same wheel/tire setup.

So you ran a map for 104 octane but didn’t actually have that? I saw you mixed race gas maybe that was your issue?

Car had maybe 2 gallons of pump left. I was trying to empty the tank.

3 runs after ms109 didnt make any difference...car picked up maybe .5mph it's almost like the car freaks out in first gear and doesn't give it all it has.

Few people suggested turning traction completely off and using dyno mode.

Sounds like you were slipping. Get some drag radials on there you will be much happier but you might break stuff too. Been there done that.

There’s no reason you can’t get 1.6-1.7 60’ times on street tires. Drag radials aren’t necessary. I’ve posted a hundred times how to launch on street tires. And race start won’t get you good 60’s.

Heat the tires with a huge burnout, dry no water
Pre stage
Car in Manual, sport traction On
Stage
Foot on brake, floor the throttle. When RPMs are at 3-4k, release brake and go.

Consistent 1.7x 60’ times. That’s all you need to get your times down to where they should be.

I knew people were holding break and gas but not that high in the rpms.

I was just hitting the gas off idle and going. Car would think for a second then go. Also zero spin and hooked up every pass.

They actually prepped the track that day lol

Wow, can't believe you guys are launching in sport mode, but if it works, more power to you. I turn TC off, nice burnout, launch at about 1500 rpms and feather it just a bit out of the hole. Get consistent 1.8's on nt05's. Gotta try br's method.

Hilarious! Don’t know how you do that. I do that on drag radials. Nooooo way can that happen for street tires sorry least not on my car. Tried it terrible traction for street tires. You have a slightly different setup then most too though suspension wise, tire width wise as well.

I have over 150 timeslips with the C63 and probably 1/2 of them are 1.7’s. On street tires, mostly PSS’s. And this was all long before I turned towards road courses.

I guarantee you you that I have a thousand more 1/4 mile passes in my life than you do. Don’t ****ing tell me what’s possible or not. Learn how to drive your ****ing car.

Yeah other thing is tire pressure. I think my best ETs/60s were with 24psi in the rears, fronts at 50psi.

With my brake boost method, don’t even worry about the lights. Get the tires really hot. Stage, brake boost, count to about two-one-thousand, release.

And Atco always had great track prep.

Yeah there it is right there Atco and track prep. It’s not the same everywhere FYI. Not a whole lot of skill in brake boosting and slamming the peddle you act like your doing some special magic from years of practice. Come on. I believe you that you have done it. It’s most likely the track though. I’m saying majority will never ever see those 60 foots on street tires and it’s not because your sooo amazing at launching your car.
