C63 Full Carbon Roof Group Buy
 

Hello,

I'm still working on some things concerning the carbon doors, but it won't be cheap.

However, I have gotten in touch with a manufacturer for carbon parts and want to have a carbon roof made.
The whole thing would cost 1699$. The quality is perfect (production in Germany).
If several people decide to join me, the whole thing will be cheaper. I have to provide the manufacturer with a new roof and order it from Mercedes. The mould will be made from it.

For now, this is only planned for the sedan. However, if there are several interested persons, the roof for a coupe could also be produced.

I am interested if shipping the thing isn’t too bad I would be in especially if the price comes down from a bunch of people going in on it. I’m in Canada any idea what it would cost to ship?

Shipping to Canada is around 120$. I think its not so bad.

Since this would be installing a roof w/o a sunroof cassette, would using both front braces be possible?

If you are interested and also agree with the maximum price of 1699$, I will gladly add you to the list. From 5 persons it becomes clearly cheaper. The price of 1699$ refers to 3 persons.
The problem is, that the moulding must be built first, cost $$ and I have to order a new roof from Mercedes for this. Moulding on an existing roof is a botchery.

Part numbers 20 and 40 are already on the car and can be reused. Part number 30 must be bought and mounted.

My car is currently driving so brilliantly with 120kg less vehicle weight. However, I don't like the almost 18 kg at the highest point of the car. I never use my glass roof and a real carbon roof looks simply sensational.

Ya if it’s that cheap it’s a no brainer definitely put me down for one. Yeah I never use the sunroof so was looking into the car in roof previously offered but couldn’t get them to remake one .

Sounds great! Weight saving will be in total ca. 40lbs on the highest point of the car and an insanely good-looking roof.

I have been randomly looking for a Carbon Fiber Roof well over a year... Of course no good news.

I have a sun roof. If there is a model available I'm fully IN!!!.

Actually have been on the hunt for a P31 Diffuser, but again... cannot find it.

The carbon roof will be without sunroof. That would be without sense to put a 16kg sunroof on a 3,8 kg roof.
Or did I misunderstood you? Do you have a sedan?

What would one use for headliner? Specifically for the sun roof opening.

Yes Sedan, with a Sun Roof, unfortunately.

If you want, you can still use your old headliner. The opening is manual and remains in the headliner.

Sunroof will be delete with this mod. That’s one of the main reason for doing this.

I’ll buy 2 coupe roofs if it helps get you over the hump. I know I’ll find a buyer for it here, or at least having a backup if I flip would be nice.

Additionally: The roof is made of carbon and aramid to avoid splintering or similar in case of an accident.

Add me please for sedan. My sunroof misaligned a couple years ago and has been too expensive to fix
