Yeah, I'll watchout for that. I'm replacing the windshield this week. Apparantly its a large plastic piece that is pretty nicely wedged under the windshield. Here is the order of removal, I'll take pics and post too:
1. Remove black long roof rack plastic covers by just pulling up on them along entire top of car
2. Remove plastic covers for windshield wipers
3. Remove plastic wiper bolt covers
4. Remove bolts
5. Remove top rubber weather strip
6. Remove small plastic screws/rivets
7. Pull up and out on plastic cowl, just place ontop of engine because the washer fluid hose it attached
8. Remove rainsensor cover from inside
9. Unclip wire
10. Pull out rain sensor

Wow! I’ve been doing the second phase of rebuilding my M156 E63 since the beginning of the CCP Virus starting with the Rear Main Seal, cleaned the Tranny Valve Body, new drive Discs and mid DS Bushing, all the way through to the entire rear suspension by replacing the rear shocks, rebuilt AirSprings, every single rear bushing on the control arms and rear subframe, added some custom Toe Arms, converting the rear Diff to 3.06, new hubs, rotors, pads, and then after driving for a day, it was back up on stands to replace the Radiator, Condenser, A/C Compressor to where I am now after having just removed the windshield wiper system to expose the A/C Expansion Valve and the Heater Combination Valve. I’ve got a Windshield reserved for me down in Miami (locals wanted b/n $300 to $1400 more to order it and install it!) and since I have almost everything exposed, my thought is to either pick it up myself and call Safelight to come and install it (I already have the various bits necessary including another topside molding) but until today, before reading this thread, I was more than perplexed as to how to remove the side mouldings which cover the windshield on the Passenger and Driver side front extending, as you know, all the way alongside the Panoramic roof!!! I realize this post doesn’t reference the “Panarama” roof, but it appears the situation is the same whereby in both scenarios the windshield is covered right and left with molding continuing all along the roof. The WIS only shows the wedge <| pattern you’re supposed to use with a diagram showing the points where you are to use them (3 in front of the A-pillar then 5 along top). It also shows an unclear picture of the latching mechanism into which the molding itself “clips” into with a reference to “adjust” such clips, presumably from underneath that without mention would require you to at least drop the sides of the Headliner!!!, if necessary! I went so far as to remove the front passenger safety handle and “A” Pillar to try to take a peek, but removal of each front seat plus the B-pillars and sun visors would be required to really get under there!
But after seeing this post, I have a new optimistic expectation that none of that may be necessary!!! Hallelujah!! I’m guessing using the curved end of my plastic upholstery tools will do the job nicely here!
So down to Miami I might drive to pickup the New Windshield (don’t we all wish they still were making the UV resisting windshields?) and have safelight come by with their suction cups, piano wire and sealant to do the install. It certainly will be cheaper than having the Dealership do it!!!
Have any of you that have done this and installed some UV resistant 90% Tint while the windshield was being suspended on the table to avoid getting water behind the dashboard? My idea is to lay thin foam on a table I have in the garage and support it on each side by larger blocks of foam, but I’m not sure if I would be able to apply enough pressure on the film with the stiff squeegee doing it this way. I’m also a little concerned the window might bust attempting to do install the film this way? Can I gently squeegee, so to speak, and then use the heat gun to shrink all the fingers. The more I think about trying to keep the window stable while attempting to do this, the more I seem to answer my own question, don’t even think about it! But you never know?

Does anyone know how to remove the small plastic nozzle covers without disassembling everything? Trying to use the OEM adjustment tool to set the nozzles lower and these parts are in the way
