Any value in used stock injectors?

As the title suggests, I’m wondering if there’s any value in my used stock fuel injectors. I replaced mine last night and with 87k on them, they were pretty dirty (see photos). I know it’s possible to send them and have them cleaned and flow checked, but that was almost expensive as buying them new. Any reason I should keep them?

If you ever find yourself needing a fuel injector, you’ll have your answer.

It’s a small box to hold 8. No harm in keeping it.

there is no market for used factory injectors as some have been shown to fail, but as Jim mentioned, they don't take up much space, so might as well keep them.

If there was a market for used ones, probably. not those ones, those look terrible - was definitely worth changing them.

Did you get the bosch ones for like $25 each? I did that a few years back and had 2 leak. I wish I had saved my stock ones and had them cleaned. Stock ones were like $100 each other something. SAVE THEM!

Wow, I guess I should definitely change mine out. I'm only at 53k, but I'm surprised they look like that at only 80k. Thankfully I picked up my full set from FCP Euro last year for $161.

Maybe you can try soaking them in a small container of fresh gasoline and P.E.A. based fuel system cleaner for a few days and see if it can dissolve off the crud. If you can get them reasonably clean, it may be ok to keep as a backup.

no. My oil temp reading was bouncing around all over place. So i pulled the fuel rail out of the intake manifold and turned the key to on to let the fuel system prime and saw 2 of the injectors leaking. Not terribly like a gush, but just some consistent drips. That was about 7-8k miles after putting them in. Once i swapped all the injectors out, the oil temps stabilized. Also, no leaks from the new injectors.

I'll keep an eye on mine. Car is track only and they've been in one full season.

Maybe you just got bad stock?

Yes, I got the Bosch ones and they were about $31/each. It was my understanding that Bosch injectors are OE for these cars. The ones I took out were Bosch.

maybe I will have these professionally cleaned and keep them in my garage.
