in either case...rod bearings don't tick, and if you had an issue with your main bearings you would have had a seized engine by now. my only thoughts are maybe its your oil pump, but if it was...you would have had an oil pump failure by now. i guess if it hasn't gotten worse and you can't identify, i guess ignore it?
I've got the engine rebuilt already. Everything is good now

Since no one really mentioned this I'll just throw out. Maybe the 5XX WHP mega super duper tune was on race gas? who knows man. 444whp is plenty acceptable if you haven't gathered that by our sarcasm. Go race the car, does it feel good? is it quick? stage 2 should be a 11.5-11.8 1/4mi time if you can get off the line well. MPH is the biggest indicator of power as well. Dont get stuck on dyno numbers they are ultimately irrelevant. No stage 2 only n/a m156's are making 500whp on pump gas period, unless you live in dubai or at the race track where they sell 100+ octane.

I dyno'd a c63 a few weeks back and calibrated the rpms wrong... it rev'd to 18,000 rpms f1 style according to the graph lol. Remember things can easily be manipulated.

These engines are pretty "noisey".
I replaced my lifters with the lifters from the sls bs, and the cam adjusters with a set of rebuilt and lightened units from 63motorsports. I never had any decernable ticking or noises to indicate that they were worn and needed changing. Just did it for piece of mind and as preventative maintenance.

Now, i can hear a very slight mechanical noise, almost like the cam chain operating. Doesn't sound sinister or untowards. Car runs flawlessly. I think it may be a factor of the lightened cam adjuster assembly and the motul 300v oil which is basically **** thin.

you know what's funny I just got home from the runs tonight (street drag racing) and I raced a pro charged 370 nismo he said he dynoed at 550whp and we did a roll from 60km/hr
and we were neck and neck and I ended up pulling on him top end. I was so surprised because he had 100whp more then me and also a lighter car. I guess dyno numbers don't really mean anything.

my blown 530whp has magically hung with much lighter 600whp + dyno'd cars. It's just a dick measuring contest most of the time. I remember seeing a twin turbo viper with a 650whp dyno sheet at a car show. I laughed so hard, there is no way it wasn't 1000whp+. That's just for the hustling they're going to do later.

With that said I would talk to your tuner, see what they think and if the file needs to be tweaked or not. Will likely have to datalog to get to the bottom of it, looking at AFRs, air flow, etc. I had to go back and forth with my tuner a dozen times before my headers file really ripped. Then a dyno tune gets you even more on top of that.

I’d also chat with Barry to see what he thinks.
Just to go off topic a bit, but what is your trap speed with full weight and street tyres (if you have any runs on street tyres)?

I haven’t drag raced for years bud. Last time out sometime in 2017 I snapped an axle and was done with it. Was normally in the 122-123mph range with a couple of 124.5x outliers. On street tires and in a much lesser state of mod and full weight. I imagine I would be in the 126’s now with more HP and about 600# less weight but who knows.
