Wonder why? Have you looked around at the forum lately? There are exceedingly few of us left that want to build something cool anymore. Most of the new owners are buying these all banged up and putting the bare minimum into them to keep running for donuts, burnout competitions, street takeovers, or driving like morons and wrapping them around trees. It’s over. Nobody is going to make anything nice for this ever shrinking community anymore, there’s no profit in it. We missed our window.
). The thread title piqued my interest for lack of other functional mods to cover but, this comment rang true for me, and is a huge reason why I stepped out. I think it’s fair to say American’s are more adventurous with your customisation than us Brits on the whole (myself excluded), but it’s frankly embarrassing over here now, with people budget modifying and getting excited when someone murders out ANOTHER black car to make it look cheap for some reason…or fits 507 style wheels for the 4782nd time…or chrome deletes. Then we’ve got the internet mechanics, shovelling out horrifying advice on how to fix broken parts, discrediting actual sensible guidance because it costs too much, meaning the second hand pool of these cars is basically a frickin’ Russian Roulette, only that 5 bullets are loaded and one is empty.I ran a small run of styling parts to see if I could get it off the ground, black instead of carbon, robust and capable of some abuse. I even started on a Wagon diffuser but, it never took off because I was just unable to recoup the material then R&D costs on it, the market wants everything for nothing. I have some nice parts on my car, but I make them myself now, and I would openly encourage anyone to do the same, to learn a skill and be individual that way. If someone sees what you’ve done and they like it, they can work a deal for a reproduction that way.
I hope someone is able to get this off the ground again, but I’m not brave enough to pioneer another major modification
