SLS Buckets NLA / Discontinued
https://mbparts.mbusa.com/oem-parts/...t-159050000064
Was about to buy SLS buckets, part number 159-050-00-00-64 while I was doing my cam phaser plates and noticed the buckets are now NLA / Discontinued. Luckily FCP Euro still had some in-stock and ready to ship so I picked up a set, but now these M159 / M156 / W204 parts are getting harder and harder to find.
Edit:
Here's the link for FCP Euro's store that still has the SLS buckets in-stock and ready to ship.

I just did this, to be clear the one you are referencing (above) is the SLS Blk Series buckets and last I checked with various dealers around the country, they are back ordered with no ETA. You can still get the normal SLS buckets.

I would think a good machine shop could make them to better specifications than factory. Dimensions are easy to achieve. Heat treat and coating (if any) takes some time, experience and skill.

The black series buckets are of course better, but for normal use the SLS buckets are likely all anyone really needs. The Black Series ones are lighter but that was done due to the redline being raised to 8k rpm, so not a lot of benefit if running a normal redline. They are DLC coated on all sides vs the SLS buckets only being anti-friction coated on the top (I have never seen any side wear issues).
Hopefully these continue to be available but mostly the normal SLS buckets are fine and an upgrade for us with the coating and improved oil valves, but if you are building an engine and raising redline these would be a benefit.

Looking to do some 1/2 and full mile events in a couple of years and need lots more cooling first.

Ya I would do the same if you get a deal, just saying worst case the base sls buckets are still a good upgrade for most of us!
