Looks like cars finally arriving in Canada. My SA just texted me last night that they got their first one in yesterday.

Took a while haha. We should ship some of ours to Canada. Most of the dealers around me haven't sold the ones they got originally, and have received more on top of it. Both dealers near my home in California have the same 15 or so c43s they got for first shipment, gathering dust. Sadly they even moved some into a back lot to make room for new glc and face lift gle which both sell fast, but it does make my chances for a good deal likely

Been a while since I've been on here but is anyone else still dealing with with the highly aggravating transmission in this car? I'm taking it in a second time this week and still no word on SW. This car frankly drives like s**t in local areas and I'm seriously considering breaking my lease (I know my dealer well).

No, all normal here, is your SW same as on this photo?

Are we sure that *this* is the actual software that is dictating the behaviour of the transmission, or any part of the car’s drivetrain for that matter?

We know that if you go to a dealer and they hook up your car to MB computer, this is the software number you'll get, although I here there is even a later version out there.
I assume there is no other separate version for transmission.

So if I wanted to tune a transmission, or make aftermarket behavior modifications, I would be making changes to the code here? That seems very unlikely, as there's pretty much zero chance that this software would be open source. More likely, it's something in the ECU.

Maybe my24 will be corrected but I'm worried. All 3 I drove were rough, all reviews online stated same things even before car was released. What really bothers me is that the c43 was test driven by mercedes for a long time, longer then usual. And yet they didn't remediate the issue. Talked to my dealer , and they had one come in for it.

AH? You cannot pass through security, just ask BenzNinja guy. you cannot code the latest generations of MBs Why would it be an open source? Amatures don't code transmissions, kind of dangerous, It's not like coding lights or something.

I cannot speak for others, but I have 0 roughness in all modes and in all driving situations.

There should be another software version if you pull up Xentry specifically for the TCU.

Exactly - Under no circumstances would it be open source - Even if you went to an aftermarket tuner, They are not modifying the software that was shown on that screen in the infotainment system. I don't think comparing those software versions would be helpful in troubleshooting transmission or engine behavior.

I have an LCI 2019 C43 and when I first got the car I would get rough jolting hesitation in Sport + at low speeds. Then it simply went away and I went literally 3 years with nothing but smoothness. Then last weekend...it returned! This time while in comfort mode. scary because the car wont accelerate and starts jerking so you fear getting rear ended. Hasn't happened again. Back to smoooth. But it just reminded me why in October my new car will be an M440i GC Xdrive with the ZF eight speed. This 9 speed transmission is just unpredictable..

The ZF 8-speed has been a staple in pretty much all consumer automotive segments for over at least a decade(?). It's performance has been revered by consumers and critics alike. Over the years, there's definitely been alternatives that may do certain things better, but the ZF line of transmissions are still around for a reason. They are the full package. Congrats on your new ride.

There is also Aisin as well that also does good transmissions (if I spelled the company name right)

2019 AMG C43
Since 2012 I have had 2013 B8.5 Audi S4, 2016 F30 BMW 340i X-Drive, 2019 LCI C43 with AMG PE. I found the Audi to have the poorest build quality. Very disappointing. No match for the BMW or Mercedes. My 2019 C43 is a blast to drive and great build quality. I have had no issues with the C43 except for rotine maintenance. The AMG PE exhaust is nothing but joy. But...alas...the things I love about my C43...the V6 biturbo and that AMG PE are no more :-( . I test drove the W206 4 cylinder and honestly...wanted to LOVE it....but you cant go from the LCI W205 with AMG PE to the W206 and not just feel the car has lost that sound that just made you smile. So back to BMW for the B58 straight six and getting the M performance exhaust installed at port. Need that PE exhaust! I'm hooked.

Perhaps that overwhelming importance of sound is related to one's age? The younger you are the more acute the perception is? When I drive in Sport + and all the parameters are set to max, the sound to me is very pronounced albeit not very pleasing. On the other hand, to me the car handles better than non M3/4 BMW with rear steering and overall steering feel is better. Then of course, I am into gadgets and MBUX is much better in terms of watching videos and apps displays. The Burmaster is much better than Harmon as well. So all depends. I am afraid if those green fanatics are not stopped, the only difference between cars would be the color.
However, I do get under 10 MPG in the city though.

That B58 engine is the tops. You will love the new 340.

Their conclusion is that the C43 in its current iteration is not necessarily aimed at driving enthusiasts, but more so the luxury crowd that want to have a bit of sportiness. Is that what the C43 is now? That’s a backhanded compliment if I’ve ever seen one.

For everyone who has been driving their new C43s, on the luxury <—> sport scale, On which side does this car lie?

Is your C 43 built in Germany by chance? Or is it from Alabama?

it's a bonafide sports car, no doubt in my mind. Yes it's a bit firm over the road imperfections, but otherwise, it's super fun. Taking it on a race track in a few months.
