If that article is true, it will be a quick sprint to 60 thanks to the instant torque of the electric motors. However, as with most electric vehicles, I expect the rate of acceleration will drop off substantially as speed picks up. I am more interested to see what the 1/4 mile times and trap speeds will be.

I can say that this will not be a part of my collection. 0-60 is only one component of speed. My 812SF does it in 2.8 seconds but it's the sound and the speed at which it gets to 125mph is what I'm addicted to. I'll keep my W205 C63s cab for now. The only other AMG product I'm interested in is the SL63 but if it's priced like the GTC's, I'll pass. I ordered a 2020 GTC in Blue Magno in the fall of 2019 but never got an allocation. They cut off 2020 production in January of 2020 and refused to trade dealer stock orders for mine. Best car I never owned because it would have lost a ton.
