Lost a potential customer

MBUSA lost me as a new customer, I tried the gla45 - interior stunk, probable large depreciation losses, tried the C class - too weak, waited for the C63 - toooo longggg for pricing, configurator or even an update on the thing.

Deposit. Went to the 2015 Golf R

Oh well maybe next time. I'll keep watching.

well, what do you expect for a car that isn't officially released yet? its a new model to the market, be patient. In the meantime, good luck with your GOLF R, nice car (even though its built in Mexico)

Cars.
Wait, you were cross shopping a Golf R with a C63? Are you sure you're in the right forum? The C300 forums are further down. Somethings fishy. I mean if you had said GT-R, M3/M4, RS4/5 I wouldn't be so skeptical, but the two cars are absolutely nowhere near the same class of car. I don't want to be harsh, but I don't think you're the type of customer MBUSA is looking for....

A Golf is a car made for everyday folk. A C63 is a brilliant piece of engineering straight down from F1. How can you even begin to compare them?

He's probably a troll. Hence my sarcastic comments. I mean, "C is too weak" compared to a VW Golf R? LOL. C400? It's like me saying, I tried the Ferrari 458. It was kinda weak and decided to get an S550...... MB can care less about business from your types.

lol, I think the C63 is way out of your league... I think even the CLA45 is way out of your league if you selected a VW GOLF.

When is the Golf R supposed to be released?

I'm with the others, cross shopping a Golf and a C63? Really? V8-450hp (or 510hp) RWD sedan vs a L4-290hp AWD hatch? Sounds really weird.

If you're really serious, I don't think MB really lost a customer because they will sell every single C63 they can build. Maybe you should have gotten a 2014-507 with that magnificient V8 6.2l engine!

In any way, you can't be pissed at MB for not being able to buy a car that is not released yet. And if MB feels like the car needs more tweaking before being released, I see that as a positive. YMMV.

You all sound like dou#&bags that should be driving m3's or something other than c63's. Something I would not of expected from a Benz crowd, but to each their own. By the way MB isn't Ferrari, they don't choose their customers.
And yes I crossed shop all of those cars and yes I choose the car of the year, and yes it will be a simple stage 1 tune that will leave all those other cars wanting more. As my $20g is in my super utility hatch.
And I'll still likely pick up one of your cars in 2 years at a mighty fine discount still.

The R woll be made in Germany for 2015, but with mqb platform it can be assembled anywhere uniformly, even lets say.....Alabama.

Your ignorance of me being out of my league is annoying.

I'm not dissing any of the above stated cars, they are all in their own right awesome, I chose with my head and best bang for the buck......relax, and keep the air in the spare and the bag in the wheel....

Cheers

Maybe you should do your research before making comments.

lol, did you actually read that absolute piece of marketing fluff.

hybrid technology, simulation, turbos, and lightweight materials.

If thats the F1 transfer, I'll stick with the power of VWs experience in making road cars any day.

Wonder if mercedes got their 6.2L head bolts from the F1 team.

A Golf R?

You couldn't of been all that serious as a "potential C63 buyer" if that is your final choice.

I'll still be patient, wait 2 years after your lease is done and drive one at a fraction of the price, thank you.

And I can't get over all your pompas *** remarks on the R, guys do your research and learn how good of a car it is. What disqualifies me as a 'serious' buyer because of my final decision? Many factors go into a vehicle purchase, and I'll surely use my saved $ to add some nice personal goodies that will keep many cars in my rear view,

Cheers

I'm curious why didn't you do just that and bought a used C63 instead? For the price of a R (35,000$?) you could have a very nice C63. It seems like the R keeps some good value. However, a used car like the C63 that you could buy for 35k$ is not gonna lose as much because most of the value has been lost already.

If you don't need the rear seats, 35k$ will buy you a used Z06 and you will destroy pretty much anything that moves on 4 wheels, easily. It's a mid 11s car stock.

The R is not really a fast car. The last R was a 14,0s @ 100mph car. Even with 34more hp, the new R is not even close to the w204 and certainly not the w205.

Have fun!

I just want to comment a little bit on Values... I'm in Canada so perhaps the market is slightly different up here but I have had two C63's: a 2010 and a 2012... both I sold two years into and broke out of the lease... the 2010 was purchased for 72500 and I sold it for 53500 the lease buyout was 50k. The 2012 purchased for 74200 and sold it two years later as well for 53k, lease buyout was 51k. (FYI both were avg/low miles and mint condition). The C63 was the only car I have ever had that retained its value to the point where I got money back from the lease and didn't take a haircut on it. This model was VERY good to me in terms of value. Just my 2 cents. Really wanted a SUV this time around and the RRS plays both sport/SUV VERY well.
Enjoy the R! (honestly)

I think that is the customer you are. I don't know why you are pretending as if you could/would actually buy a brand new C63.

Its way out of your league my friend. Stick with your VW

Cars.
The problem is, the C63 is a premium car, that has a premium cost to go with it. The Golf R is a car if you were cross shopping a Corolla, it doesn't make sense. Going from $80,000 to $35,000 is a HUGE drop, it doesn't add up.
