Nope, I spent about as much time as I wanted to on your post.

Typical dimwit response, but since you like to read rather than discuss please take a look at the latest evo article on e63s vs m5. The m5 comes out on top.

In any case, the M5 can be had with attractive lease offers. If you pile up some more rebates I wouldn't be surprised if the effective rates come out equal, and quite honestly the M5 is a higher value car if you like the size.
Thanks, I'll look into leasing.

Stopped reading after the 2nd paragraph "The M5 uses an eight-speed twin-clutch gearbox, though, while the E63 makes do with a less sophisticated seven-speed torque converter auto" The m5 uses a seven not a eight speed dual clutch and the E63 uses MCT that replaces the torque converter with a wet startup clutch. Fail. That's also a special editions m5 that they made very few of. Whats the fastest S63tu car in the world? 10.8 @ 131? M157 car just went 9.9 @ 142

If you're interested in the M5, I would go with a low mileage 2013 for 60-65K. Thats 50K+ off sticker.

M5, 93k base, but most sticker range from 100-129K(as in the OP).

I see a glut of used 2013 M3's in the 60-70K range on cars.com

Agreed most stickers are $115k+

Guess the m5 doesn't hold it's value better than the amg

The M5 at $93000 is actually usable.

The price is driven up by people being unable to resist to add the competition package ($7000 something), which in their defense is probably worth it just for resell value.

There also is the executive package which holds a lot of stuff that nobody needs but has been carefully composed to hold hostage at least one thing that is a strong WANT for every single buyer. What is it $4500?

BMW also makes their individual colors and individual leathers available directly in the online configurator, that doesn't help.

I have never had a MB. My local BMW dealer customer service is awful, wife had an X6. I guess I'm hoping you guys talk me out of it.
I've seen that car at the dealership 2 days ago. It is nice. I drove test a similar one back in November last year. Although you get all the luxury and class of the BMW I wasn't impressed by the performance. I drove the following day a E63S and felt more connected. Mercedes of Baton Rouge still has that car if I'm not wrong and it's been 3 months or so. You probably can get a great deal. But I think BMW leases are better.

That is probably true. MB of Baton Rouge are supposed to have an edition 1 at the earliest in June. Maybe you might want to grab this one
