2016 Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe spied for the first time

They do look wider on the front, but not sure if that's a due to the camo. I really hope they retain the wide track look.
I don't know what the sales figures of the M4 are, but MB better come strong with this iteration because the 4 series itself seems to have done well overall. MB, please don't tone the AMG down!
JP is probably smiling somewhere...

I think a lot of people will opt for the C205 rather than the W205 of all variant types if this new coupe ends up looking as good as we think
I've currently been driving around in a new W205 sedan on loan for the past week now and as mentioned in another thread would never give up my C204 coupe for a W205 sedan, the main reason being look and appeal of the C204 as well as a more dynamic chassis and nicer seats in the coupe.
The C204 coupe will cease production as soon as the C205 coupe is introduced, that will start with the "cooking variants" and then the C63 variant, so the C204 C63 should be in production for some time yet.

I am a big fan of the c63 507 and was thinking about getting one until I found out that there are no rear-side airbags available for it. Same goes for the RS5 and M4.
I will be paying close attention to see if the new coupe will offer them.

If that's correct we won't see the C205 C63 coupe until mid next year.
From previous literature releases the basic C205 variants are due soon either end of 2nd half or during the 3rd quarter of this year followed by the the C63 variant early next year.

Yeah but the w205 c63 was suppose to be in the showroom by March.
I can't wait to see what the coupe looks like but I don't think we will see the C63 variant until late 2016.

It'll more likely be out 1Q16, after its debut in September at Frankfurt. Hopefully whatever caused the delays with the W205 won't carry over to the Coupe - large corporations usually learn quickly from these types of mistakes

However I believe the coupe will get different seats (or maybe the W205 sport seat option as standard) just like the interior difference between the previous W204 & C204, the coupe front seats on the C204 are much nicer looking (same as E Class coupe) and IMHO more comfortable but just as supportive as the W204 sedan seats.
At this point no - only C450 205 series will be offered in an AWD variant.
Maybe by the time of the 205 series mid life update we may get an AWD option for the first time with the C63 - I believe it all depends on what the main competition does ie. BMW if they eventually release AWD variants of their M3 & M4 then MB/AMG will have to follow suit to successfully compete.

You don't think it's odd the coupe testing has 285/30/19's in the back? Curious because that's a substantial increase compared to the 265/35/19's on the C63 S sedan.
I'm certainly not complaining, but even the M3/M4 shares the same tire dimensions regardless of whether you opt for the coupe or sedan.

2012 C63 AMG Sedan(with AMG Performance Package Plus, Premium & Premium Rear Seating Packages)
"Images with the C-Class Cabriolet are expected to hit the web in August while the launch should occur in December. The C-Class Coupe will reportedly be revealed in February 2016 and reach dealerships in June." MB Scheduled to release C Coupe/Cabrio, C250 Bluetec 4Matic Wagon and SL Facelift in Q1 of 2016 for the NA market based on the lineup timetable (Q3 of 2016 for the S Cabrio, new E Class and GLC Coupe. Oops, I just accidentally spilled some beans. Source is secret and maybe... too old and subject to change ) I got last summer, "IF" assuming there's no delays/jams. I had the C63/C63s engine outputs before the official release date while people were playing the guessing game. (HPs were the same but torques were under rated or maybe MB decided to tweak it up in the last min!) AMG models should release with the regular models at the same time IMO because it's been testing even w/o showing the AMG body shell and the commonness with the sedan. Let's hope MB can get their sh!et together and no delays.
Just pouring some more beans, oops I means some love, C63/C63s Coupe/Cabrio will be assembled in Bremen (not in Alabama) as I heard of in March - hope you guys don't get wet by hearing this and hurry to line up! When I saw that 285 wide rear tires, I was wet (eyes ), and I also lined up for a MY16 C63s Coupe Edition 1 besides the sedan. I hope rear tires would be wider as seen on the spy photos, although I wouldn't be surprised to see the same stock wheels/tires as on the sedan. Unless (maybe?) MB and AMG are finally waking up from trauma+concussion and give the car what it really needs and deserves and us what we really want, AND what the competitors don't want . The rear fenders won't be as fat and sweet as the camo/plastic covers (if looking at the sunken-in hole at the rear body and bumper for screws to faster the plastic covers onto the body), it seems the rear fenders will be much beefier than the regular C Coupe/Cabrio and sedan's for sure (going to look like the W204 style but subtle? Look at the shape of the camo-ed only side skirts connecting to the rear fenders & the black fender flare splash guard that sticks out at the rear bumper). It seems to me there's certainly more room for wider wheels/tires, unlike the sedan. Too early for testing BS (BS comes as a facelifted model) and too narrow body/fenders for BS, but it certainly gives/leaves more ease/room for the BS mod/adaption in the future.

I do not know what this car is testing. However, the new coupe is stellar, sleek, and a looker. It will have an M4 owner like .

It wouldn't make sense to have wider tires for the coupe. That's yet another cost for the Coupe. I don't think MBZ wants to increase the costs of the vehicle. I hope I'm wrong, but if that's the case, then we can expect even more of a premium for the coupe.

Unless it's an option. I'd pay extra for 285s.

As I recall that was the main or only complaint from people who thought that above years ago on the C204 forum section when it was first released.
I hope so because the coupe mule in the other thread is not like this one and we were mislead in a similar way back when there was a wide fender W205 sedan doing the rounds but it didn't happen in production cars.
Just let the cat out of the bag already LOL will it have the wider fenders ??
