Thanks JP. I'm glad you were able to confirm that the fronts and read were different. Are they just different lengths or are the front screw in and the back pressure fit?
For me I will try and get these thrown in with my purchase!

So the originals are plastic and these are metal?
I think I'll need to see what the extra weight does to the 1/4 mile times first before I could ever consider this.

Just installed the front to door pins and they do look awesome.
Do any of you think that these are unsafe in anyway?
JP, use Loctite on the fronts and backs?

Are the rear door pins safe?
I was under the mistaken impression that the rear door locks open like the front locks with the handle, so long as the child safety lock is activated position.
A bit to my dismay I noted that the rear door locks do not open by toggling the handle and this raises a little concern for me for my rear passengers in the very rare need for them to unlock the doors before I unlock them with the central control.
What is everyone's thoughts on this? I'm contemplating replacing the rear door pins with the stupid OEM door pins

Reviving this old thread to see if anybody has purchased the door pins. I'm getting conflicting information on if the front and rears are in fact different or the same.
Any luck?

I have an update. The parts guy at my local dealer ordered a stock pin to compare it to the pins in the picture. the manual he has shows all 4 pins being the same. The stock pin is longer and a little bit wider than both of the pins in the picture above. So now I don't know if either pin will work. I want the parts guy to give me the part test fit.
Thoughts?

For people who don't want to pay that much (which is fair enough) you could always just get copies, they will eventually be available all over ebay just like the 204 series pins and cost only a fraction as much the good ones you can't really tell apart either, for a door pin they do the job

I have fitted ones like this to my C63 W205 - all four are the same size (as were the ones I removed!)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2015-Merce...item1e99f76d87
they fit perfectly and match the brushed metal look on all the doors - literally unscrew the old ones and screw these ones on - they are almost flush with the door trim when locked

I've just got back to the office from a few days away at a historic motorsport event to be greeted by these.
Now, being a tight Scotsman I refused to pay £45 GBP per pin to Mercedes so went down the 'pattern' route.
$45 USD later and about 10 days and these have arrived.
I'm pretty certain they're the same as some other copies mentioned previously. Quality is perfect. The AMG logo, which I didn't actually think was on these, is laser etched and looks great. Overall I'm very pleased. I'll fit to the car later and let anyone know of any issues. There won't be of course as they're identically sized to the plastic pins.

Not sure why yours have 2 different size pins?
My set has 4 matching pins, as were the 4 I removed (all cheapo plastic ones were the same length)
When I lock the doors they all fit flush with the door card

I agree that is odd but the original AMG ones are different from front to rear too.
I'll let you know when I fit them how I get on.

I tried to swap over the pins a few mins ago but the plastic ones are absolutely solid. I can't seem to get a turn on them at all. I'll need to get a rubber washer and some pliers to get more leverage but protect the plastic at the same time.
