Any dealer can change a S to a non S.

Only 3 C63W in Entire USA??
So I just received an email from my sales rep that there are currently only 3 C63W allocated to the entire country, and not a single one of them is mine. JPMBenz, do you know anything about this?
I might end up having to get the C63s, which isn't a problem except it's extra money I wasn't planning on spending. But this just seems weird, how can there only be 3 2016 C63W allocated to the entire 50 states??

That would be the logical explanation, but I was told "that is not the case."
Apparently, he's trying to get regional and national sales to get one allocated to the dealership. I was told by another sales rep long before that the C63S can be switched to a W before going into production. I have no idea why they're not allowing that now.

Yea, it seems a majority of the W205 AMGs are C63S models, especially on these forums. I was told I was able to get a 2D September C63S switched to a C63W, but they came back and said no. I'll have to wait for more information.

Problem solved. The dealership said that the particular C63S that I was going to have converted to a C63W was currently too far into production that I wouldn't be able to change it. Apparently, these things have to be settled months in advance to get the right material at the factory to have the cars built.
I was, however, able to get an awesome deal on a C63S, where I'm basically paying nothing over the build that I had optioned out before. In the end, everything worked out for me, so I will be the proud owner of a C63S, not a C63.
