Production to pick-up time duration
 

This is a topic that has been discussed a few times to see how long it will take. Well I received an e-mail from my dealer today that my car went into production according to Netstar. Now lets see how long it takes before it gets to the Dealer. Considering that today is Saturday and my build date is Aug/2nd decade I would imagine it will go into production on the Monday the 10th.

Keep me posted Will. MY16 was also second decade but my date to begin is set for 8-21-15. So technically that is 3rd decade but it is what it is!

You bet. I also received my vin number a little later.

I was told by forum member MBtech1098 that the date we have is actually the date that the car is completed. :nix:

I talked to my salesman on Fri. and he told me my car production date is the 22nd of Aug and that is when it is finished.
He said about 12 days from then to delivery.

It's great to have this confirmed because it means we will get the car sooner then expected. BTW my dealer told me 12 days as well.

The build date can vary depending if there are parts issues. That does happen from time to time.

Its getting so close now that I will remain to be positive that I will get mine by the end of the month

Just received notice that my car is finished and awaiting delivery :D.
Perfect timing because the MY2016 were released yesterday according to my Dealer.

When you guys get your VINs, are they decodable at that time? I tried to decode a VIN on a dealer training vehicle and the decoder came back with "We could not find any information for VIN ..."

Went to the dealer today and they told me the MY 2016 C-class has been released but the AMG's not yet. Bureaucracy sucks

Very cool. I got my VIN Aug 8th as well. Haven't heard any update since then. I'm going to call my dealership on Monday to see if there are any updates, but hopefully I'm in a similar boat as you.

Any updates for us?

Talked to my dealer yesterday after some members stated the cars will not be released for another 2 weeks on this forum yesterday.

The dealer said; Everything I've seen that MBUSA has sent us, says release date is mid-end of August. We looked at it in Net Star and the window sticker has been printed while also showing "RLS to Carrier" (released to carrier) but it's now just a matter of it being assigned to a truck. So as of right now, I can't confirm 2 weeks.

Maybe JP can confirm this.

Yesterday my dealer told me that they were told that it will be two weeks until the C63's are released --- we shall see. My car goes into production today with a completion build date of August 25 - Alabama factory

My 2016 had a build date of 8/25, but my dealer let me know on 8/21 that it was complete and should be here next week. We're about 3 hours from the plant, so I'm hoping for a delivery in the next few days.

I am about 4 hrs away, just a bit East of Memphis. Where are you located?
