Splash Guards

Has anyone put splash guards on their C63? I always install splash guards to protect the paint. The front tires on my C63 stick out about 60mm. I am either going to purchase the Mercedes guards or make my own.

Since the boys in Germany don't make splash guards for the C63, I made my own - as I usually do - modified from some universal fits guards from local auto parts store - totel $21.

Nice wheels... and garage! After 5 years, do you think they've helped? It seems that they need to be a little taller and wider to cover the area of the front tire that could kick up little stones and salt from the road.

Seriously guys. You would you turn a luxury car into ... I’m speechless !!!

I have these ones installed::

IIRC, they were about $50 for a set.

why not run some clear bra and or wrap the lower panels ?

i always wondered how i ended up with multiple minor dents along the lower door panels... sounds like having no splash guards was the cause.

I also think this issue might come from winter driving because the car is my daily driver. If it’s a small paint chip, that’s easy to fix usually. But now I don’t think it’s that easy to fix that large area of paint. Even I can fix it with some touch up paint and paint levellers, I don’t think they will look good afterwards. Is there any way to restore the paint? I really need advice from you guys.

OMG... that pic! That's exactly what I don't want to happen to my car!

Because the clear bra's (paint protection film) will not prevent small dings from happening. Ask me how I know...

Have the same problem where we live and, early on, installed mud flaps that have greatly minimized the damage. I found them on Amazon about 2 years ago for our C63 S and about 3 years ago for our C43, so the links won't help ... but these pictures should (note that at least the 2017 C43 and 2016 C63 S sedans have the same body parts where the mud flaps fit, even though their vehicle compatibility listing won't show this). I put some 3M paint-protection film under the flaps where they contact the outside painted surfaces, just in case I ever wanted to remove them (I haven't). For me, the rubberish material has remained flexible ... but may not be not in -40 weather! #;-(

user33, if you don't mind, can you take pics of them on your C63 (the ones in the pic were for your C43)? For the fronts, I'm having a hard time envisioning how it will attach. It looks like there's only a notch in there and there's no screw hole?

I found two potential "fits" in Amazon, but they both look drastically different from each other. Since they will be shipping from China (or similar), it looks like I will be waiting 1 month for these to arrive. So I want to order the correct ones.

Here were the two:

FYI, in the areas where the mudflaps install, the C43 and C63 S bodywork is identical in shape/size (other areas, such as front end/hood, are not).

The ones you want are the ones at

I know from experience that the other ones won't fit C-series AMG sedan bodywork <sigh>.

FYI, I used my own screws when I installed mine, in both cases. I also put some PPF under the mudflap to help prevent any paint damage in the event that the mudflap flexes where it meets the painted bodywork. My mudflaps have been on the C43 since the summer of 2017 and the C63 S since the spring of 2019. The only disadvantage is that I'm sure the extra wind resistance reduces my lap times, on the track <giggle>.

Here are some pics of the C63 S (I recently painted that side of the garage floor so I'm keeping the C63 S's wheels a couple of inches off the floor for a while, to allow the paint to fully harden ... i.e., it's on my lift). BTW, the dirt you see is what gets by the mudflaps after driving on wet paved roads.

MANY THANKS for this! After a bit more searching, I think I found the same exact ones that you have (see below). It's cheaper, also! The one that you reposted from my post looked wrong since the curves don't match the contours of the side skirts and the screw holes didn't match what you had either. I like how you did the PPF, btw. I will likely do the same.

I got these rock guards/mud flaps from Carbon Wurks, ordered it maybe a week ago and it arrived today.
They are in the UK.
