Nebraska C63
Bare bones - just Palladium Silver and Black Ash ---- I took delivery yesterday - then took off the plastic and washed it. I take my cars un prepped. I am now working on debadging and destickering. I am also detailing the engine compartment - screw caps, a little paint, brushing the aluminum pieces and pipes etc....
At the risk of repeating some much that has been said, here are a few observations. - very sold structure - The front overhang does not seem too bad event thought it is extended - I like the extensive use of aluminum - I also like the standard seats - beautiful styling and feel good - engine has very little lag - transmission downshifts willingly - I like the tight suspension - Mine came with Michelin Pilot Super Sports - yeah..... - They did a good job of detailing the small parts and pieces on the interior - Palladium Silver is pretty dark - I like it - Getting used to the shift on the column - will be ok - That engine gets got fast - Love the look of the turbos up there in the V - smart engineering - Standard wheels look quite good to me - Quality seems a couple notches up from the two prior C63's I had - Engine revs quite quickly - The gaps between the tires and fenders is nice and tight - really helps the design - Black Ash - yes yes yes - The analog clock is nice touch - The speaker grills are well executed - Good storage compartments in the front seat - Cd players are obsolete - - Nice area under the trunk floor - - I did not get the fold up box in the trunk but did get some other things - Two lime green safety vests - First aid kit - Cargo net - Tire inflater etc - I will not have a front plate - Nebraska has a program to only require one if you pay $50 a year - Nice diffuser in the rear - I am glad that I was able to get one with a sunroof - I did not know that the door sills would be illuminated - great - I am glad it has blind spot monitoring as standard - The transmission shifts better than on my 204 C63's - As always, MB Tex looks so good - love the texture - I am not an Alcantara fan, so am glad it not on the steering wheel but don't mind it in the center of the seats - - Top stitching is very well done - Did I mention I like the Black Ash? --- ho ho ho - There is a little flap at the front of the engine that is pushed open when the car is at speed - to provide more cooling air to the engine - I like the placement of air intakes inside the engine compartment - cool air - The small controls and switches have a good feel - I like the placement of the center screen - I do wish the seat would go up another inch - Paint is very good - best of any Mercedes I have had - orange peel is well controlled and even - Door shut feel is so much better than CLA class - How do they do it for $62K? (with discount from dealer) - Fine car - very fine |
Congrats TEAShea
Sounds like your loving it. I've got about 4 days left and I'm jealous. Where in NE are you ? My brother lived in Lincoln for many years and is a huge Big Red fan. I like you think the screen is in correct place as I have grown to really like it and it's location but many don't like it and think that it looks like an add on. More and more cars are doing similar. Keep reports coming. |
Please post picture of your new ride
|
Nice review.
|
Good luck on the new ride!!! Please let me know if there is anything I can assist you with. I think you will love the car :)

There are a lot of local small car shows in the summer

I will have to hit you up in the spring. I live in Lincoln as well

I'm glad there's another C63 non S owner. I thought I'd be the only one. Mine came fully loaded though. Since both motors are the same a tune can fix the difference in HP then some.
