AWESOME !!!

Thanks for sharing these pics

My excitement level was shot into orbit when the AMG variant C205 coupe was first revealed, it's everything I was expecting and more

I'm now playing the waiting game for the right time on acquiring one

Me too. I'm hoping my MB bloke has got it right with his early 2 quarter 2016 arrival estimate.

Here's a video now

What's the usual wait time between the motor show and say the first drive review?

Here's a video now Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe revealed at Frankfurt - YouTube

Congrats and I wish you all the best with it

I'm purposely hanging off buying initial release/s for obvious reasons such as early teething problems etc. which almost all new car types suffer from these days - unfortunately.

Also because I buy outright to own for a long time, rather than lease and temporary ownership I definitely prefer to wait for the mid life updates of new model car releases as they always result in a better vehicle product all around - I did this with the previous 204 series luckily I'm very patient

First drive reviews will begin shortly

Well i guess someone has to be the guinea pig. Haha.

Your right though if there's any major issues I can flick it and grab something else as I'll be leasing it.

Hopefully it doesn't come to that though.

I hope so too even though I'm not buying first MY production, hopefully they've addressed the many adverse issues with the initial W205 sedans and don't carry them over to the coupe...

As for guinea pigs more so relating to the aftermarket I'm more than happy to see what mods early buying people take up and whether any of them turn out worthwhile or not, as those of us buying down the track will have the benefit of others experiences to then know better on that side of things as well

I do look forward to yourself and other would be C205 C63 coupe owners to start accumulating on the forums and hopefully the mods here start up a dedicated C205 C63 section, unlike with the previous C63 there was only a W204 sedan section, whereas only the previous basic 204 series coupe variants did get their own C204 section, there should have been one for the C204 C63's

+1 AV1.

Doing the same thing myself. Are we the ONLY two going this route, lol?

Personally, I think our patience will be rewarded. FL'ed versions, IMO, are always better than PFL'ed early versions. And FL'ed versions get a ton of exterior and interior upgrades!

As you know "AV1", my W205 C63S estate was one of the first in Australia and so far so good (I dont think there are "adverse issues"). Ive also placed a deposit for a C63S coupe, diamond white and was 3rd in queue (no pricing announced). An ECU is on order as is a dyno day at Autowerks

It seems that way, but as always it's a case of each to their own you and I are definitely hanging back and happy to do so for the reasons already mentioned and speaking for myself have done so for all of my driving years thus far (over 3 decades worth) and it's always turned out for the better, not only in getting a better product but saving a lot of hard earned coin as well - patience does have its rewards

I'm very happy to hear that PorGT3 and hope you are thoroughly enjoying your new AMG

This is re-assuring (for the Australian market anyway) as it means or at least shows that the examples supplied directly from Germany are better built.

A lot of the issues seen thus far are from the U.S folk with their U.S built examples and core variant/s W205's supplied to us here from Sth. Africa.

Your C205 C63 order is similar to what I'll be eventually getting, ie. diamond white exterior colour and I too will go down the ECU tuning route eventually - hope your not having too many sleepless nights in wait

White doesnt do this car justice. It needs a real color. Maybe Cardinal red, black....

Colour is always a subjective personal choice, so no one can really claim this colour is better than that colour as long as your happy with your own individual choice that's all that really matters

White has always been my personal choice of colour preference and not only makes these new MB/AMG's look the part but is easy to live with and/or maintain

Here it is in black which looks pretty sharp. Agree with AV1 though it's subjective. I'm thinking of maybe a grey depending what comes out. Same options as the sedan I guess in Aus.
