Also am I the only person who is salivating at the thought of buying one of these cars?

Yes I'm definitely with you on the excitement level for getting this coupe, just that annoying wait game now it seems with no clear ETA in place yet apart from possibly 2nd quarter 2016 ( in Australia).

I'm advising from a UK perspective, but over here those ridiculous yellow stripes are part of the 'edition 1 "motorsport package"' which is an add on to the normal edition 1 (which has these much-less visible graphite stripes that you can have removed).

If you read through the other threads associated with the C205 C63 you'll discover that you are not the only one salivating over this new AMG C Coupe, ie. it has plenty of fans

I would suggest to the moderators it's time to start a dedicated sub forum section for this variant, just like the set up for the individual variants of the A Class AMG's.
Re: the Edition 1's here in Aust. you can't order them with decal delete, I think that applies to all markets, you can delete it yourself anyway after delivery - obviously if and/or when you sell you need to re-instate the decals for proper ED1 resale value I would assume...
Totally agree with your thoughts on those decals (and even those on the 507's) they look totally ridiculous and IMHO seriously do not belong on a cars like these, that sort of blinging is more at home with the fast n furious ricer crowds.

And just to make it fully clear, Germany is the only market in which you can order the edition 1 coupe without any yellow stripes on the outside (all the cars in the press drive used on track had the edition 1's exterior night package, extended front splitter and rear diffuser but no stripes). But you're still stuck with the horrendous yellow diamond stitching (according to the online configurator)
