Production date fast approaching...question for those that had a custom order
Hey guys - I've been waiting for my car for almost 3 months now. Last update I received from sales lady was on 12/30. She said that the car was one status away from "production started" and was still scheduled for 1/25. She is great about giving me updates when there are updates - and I am trying to not be a nag. I even checked in with her today on something else so I know if there was a new update she would have provided. So my question to you all is does my timeline seem consistent with what you experienced? I am only 11 days out from the production date. Will things start moving fast and furious in the next few days as it relates to status changes on my order?
This wait has been brutal...so ready to meet my new baby!
Your feedback is much appreciated.
Thanks!
Jeremy

Ironically J I happen to come across your car today while doing a locate; beautiful spec! Production will actually begin 3-5 days before the final date of 1/25. Around the 20th; it when everything begins.

Can this be correct??! I was under the impression that once in production it takes several months before delivery.
Trying not to get my hopes up but at least a production date is some light at the end of the tunnel.
Hang in there

Thanks JP - best news of the day! How long do you think it will take from production to dealership? Keep in mind I am only 3 hours from Vance, AL facility.

I'd be interested to know too. My dealership told me mine is now in production but to expect delivery in 90 days...

I suspect it depends on where you are located, but 90 days AFTER production to deliver to dealership sounds quite extreme and unreasonable. I am in Atlanta - just 3 hours from the MB production facility in Alabama. The impression I got from my dealership was that it would take days (not weeks and definitely not months) assuming no unforeseen delays.

Delay Delay
I ordered my C63 in October. I was originally told it would be in January. Today they told me me it was scheduled for production in May 2016. This is getting to be ridiculous.

A45, Amarok, C63s Edition 1 wagon.
Where is your C63 being built, and what are the specs?
