Launch control adjustable?

Hey guys, everytime I try launch control, I spin and spin and spin. I am in race mode and I pull both paddles, then pull right paddle and so it is activated.

granted the weather hasnt been the warmest here in the north east but yesterday it was in the 70s and I just sat there and span. Is the rpm launch adjustable? For those who have successfully launched their car what tips/tricks? Do you guys play with the psi in the tires?

I haven't launched my C63 yet but a few months after ordering one my dealer had one available to drive, so I drove it.

In the end, HE asked me to launch the demo because my sales person wasn't sure how. Nor was I. I thought it would be like the A45, and it was. In mechanism, anyway.

I think the A45 has a more violent launch but I think the C63 is faster. Not by much. I didn't notice any rubber left on the road after a C63 launch and I didn't experience any wheel spin, either.

I have more wheel spinning trouble just driving around as I would in the A45 :(

I do not think its adjustable. you would need some sort of TCU tune for that. The race start is more fun then useful from my experience. I tried all different PSI at the track and nothing would get it to stick. not even a long burnout. i think the only hope is to get wider sticker tires. using LC i lost about .5 seconds but gained 8mph in the 1/4 its just too much power on the stock rubber.

I get way better launches when I set to Individual dynamic mode, with sport+/race everything but comfort for suspension and stability control in sport+.

Stiff suspension is crappy for weight transfer on launches. You WANT the weight to shift to the rear for more traction.

And I leave the traction nannies in place after ADA taught me MB's nannies are actually pretty good.

can you explain how exactly do you launch also? using launch control (if so, how is that done?) or just manually by gas/brake etc... thanks!

Just took my car to the strip a couple weeks ago. I put the car in race mode and turn TC to OFF. A decent burnout to warm the tires up. I engage race start, but don't hit the gas yet. At the 3rd light, it's almost a gas/clutch thing for me where I lay down the gas but start releasing the brake about half throttle. That was able to get 1.9 60' time or so and 11.7 1/4 mile @120. That was on stock 265 rubber at stock pressure.

The gtr has an adjustable race start via the paddles. You can set the rpm. I read this first in the gtr manual so I don’t think that C has it but I think this may be implemented in future models with some limitations.

It’s not adjustable but that would be a great feature to have if a tuner can figure it out.

Yea I just finished my breakin tried launch control with traction fully off and layed 2 strips like 40 feet long till I let off. That's with the 285's pilot super sports. I think on the street launch control is pretty useless out at the track doing a burnout letting the air pressure out probably would work much better. I'll be getting to the 1/4 mile track probably in the next month. I'll def be getting 305's when these are done tho.
