C63S Interior Buzzes, Squeaks, Rattles
First, here the list of the loose, rattling parts I found and how I tightened them. 1. The plastic band inserted into the periphery of the central console is loose and rattles over rough roads. Go to a fabric store and find just the right thickness of black crochet thread and jam into the insert until it disappears. The thread will fill the gap and the rattling will stop. 2. The plastic band around the LCD panel is also loose. Same solution by filling the gap with black thread that will disappear. 3. The hinged cover doors over the rear center console rattle. Go to the hardware store and find small diameter self-adhering thin black felt pads. Open the doors and press a pad on each side near the locking mechanism. The doors will no longer rattle. 4. The door for sunglasses of the overhead panel is also loose when closed. Put a couple of pads in place to tighten the fit there too. That's it for the rattles.
Now on to the buzzes and squeaks caused by plastic trim pieces rubbing against each other, the way crickets chirp. I have eliminated them mostly by using WD40 spray. 1. Find the Youtube showing how to pull up the center console which has numerous snap fittings underneath that are plastic on plastic. Lift it a bit, get the can to spray underneath where you hear squeaking when flexing the console in your hands. Flex, spray, flex, spray, flex, spray, etc., until no more squeaks and snap the console back in. Don't do this unless you like DIY. Be careful not to scratch anything. 2. The two instrument bezels also squeak. Rather than spray very much around this area, I pushed some black felt between the gaps until the parts separated from each other in such a way that the felt disappeared. 3. The overhead console is quite squeaky. Don't spray WD40 into the spaces but rather dab some in with your finger. If you are adventurous, remove the entire console for access by prying it out at the rear of the headliner with a thin screwdriver (be careful). Once pried out, tug on it backwards and it will come loose hanging only by electric wire connectors. There is now enough access to find most of the squeaky parts. 4. All four door panels have creaking trim snapped on them. Press the trim so as to flex it and spray where there is squeaking.
Now I can drive right over cobblestone roads with complete silence... the kind of silence I would have expected for this kind of money. MB will get tons of warranty claims and pay heavily for this cheap construction. I bet that by 2018, they will tighten up the tolerances on these interior parts up to previous MB standards... and hopefully fire the production managers responsible for this blunder.
It'll temporarily fix the squeak and then it'll be back

This is the first C-Class that isn't manufactured in Germany (built in Alabama). My guess is that could be a large cause of the quality issues we have here in North America

But, on topic, can't bear rattles, just want the noise of the engine/exhaust, so this thread worries me!
Bravo to Jfo53 for your detailed post. Had a go at most on the list and the worst of the "noises" are now gone with a few still there - the drivers air vent joined the symphony a few days ago
Any further experiences out there? Do share...

Seems it needed to work the new bugs out.
