Race Brake pads

Check out my Thunderhill post for more details but I use Portfield from racebrakes.com. That plus some high temp fluid did better than expected but I will have some duct work done before next season as I still had issues. Depending on how aggressive you are, this setup may work for you.

Hey Guys,
Wanted to see if there were any further updates or insights into race pads for the W205 C63s?
Have found the Porterfield R4S pads... their site does not deliver to Australia directly. Can work around this.
Any other recommendations?
Thanks

I have a set of Raybestos ST43, just call raybestos to order. Only problem with them is they don't have the holes for the sensor, so the brake pad wear warning message stays on the dash.
I really like the pads, but raybestos can make any of their pads for the car, so if you want more or less aggressive pads they can do it.
This with my racing brake rotors really made it hard to fade my brakes downhill in canyons.

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if the Porterfield R4S pads make much noise for city driving (ie squealing when cold in the morning)?
I took my OEM pads to the track last month and destroyed them. They heated up and I think left residual material on the rotors, which made the brakes grind when stopping from high speed. Took a few weeks of city driving for the material to wear off. Been hesitant to upgrade to some harder compound pads given potential squealing at low temps. If anyone can let me know about the R4S pad noise, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Ben

They are much quieter than the OEM pads. They held up really well however after my last track day (thunder hill at 100 degrees outside) I have nocotce they are a bit squeaky when cold and at initial contact with the rotor. This is however only since the last track day that they became noisy
