Need edition 1 front lip

If anyone has an edition 1 front lip for sale, please let me know. It doesn't need to be in CF since I'll be wrapping it satin black anyway.

On on a side note, does the sedan and coupe use the same front bumper? If yes, I can probably just use the vin of an edition 1 coupe to order it.

thanks!!

Just wanted to give you a heads up that the front lip is broken up into 3 different pieces. If you do end up ordering it it will arrive unpainted so you can just directly wrap it.

Not sure if sedan and coupe front bumpers are different, they look similar.

I'm getting priced up on the ED1 coupe front lip and rear diffuser.

My friends ED1 coupe has it in gloss black so using his VIN.

I was considering carbon at one stage but def prefer it being in black and plastic. Easier to fix too than carbon.

yep, Carbon in the front isn't going to last very long. + mode Carbon has a month lead time. Not willing to wait that much each time I need a new one. They need to get it together and stock popular items.

Sanch let me know how that goes ... I am waiting for my parts guy to hear back from Benz Germany parts rep ....

For original poster,

I am located in Canada, and the 3 part numbers are as follows.

885 7401 which on my local MB parts dept came up as "front splitter" priced at $897.00 CDN

885 7701
885 7801 These two part numbers came up as "front splitter" as well, but are unavailable, with a new parts number that included both of the above in one, which is 205 880 3204 which is described as " front splitter" priced at $748.00 CDN ... I know, confusing hey. As I mentioned above, my local MB parts dept is contacting their Germany parts rep to figure out what is what, price etc. Will update as soon as I hear back.

I know right lol ... You are going about it in the right way, with an edition 1 vin #. I could not locate a Canadian ED 1 vin for my parts dept; but with that being said the parts numbers I listed ( provided by another forum member ) are showing up in the parts system as the C63S coupe front splitter, so they have to be correct ... I believe because the front splitter comes in 3 pieces, that perhaps they were each considered separate part #s, and maybe they have recently combined all 3 parts into one part # and the system has not been updated correctly. Wait and see! Please keep me updated though once you find out from your source Sanch!

Lol, that's even more confusing.

Which sedan comes with the edition 1 front splitter? I looked at the classifieds for a 2015 edition 1 sedan for sale to get its vin but it didn't have the front lip.

Did the sedans ever came out with the front lip or no? If yes, can someone get us a VIN?

If the sedans and coupes both have different bumpers, I'm assuming the splitters for both cars are also different? I'd love to know the answers.

The ED1 sedans never came with a front lip! - i know because my friend traded his ED1 sedan for the ED1 coupe.

Yes the lip will be slightly larger for the coupe as its an inch and something wider in the front.

I believe the sedan ED 1 has never come with a front splitter ... just the 17' ED 1 coupe ... and the Coupe is wider then the sedan... you may need to go aftermarket

I am guessing one is the center splitter piece, and the others are either the left or right splitter pieces.

That is what my MB parts associate was thinking ... but then I it doesn't make any sense. The $898 price for the long middle piece would be somewhat accurate, but $750 for two 8 inch long 2 inch wide pieces of plastic that attach to the each end of the middle piece of the splitter and screws into the inside of the wheel wells ...that doesn't sound right. Means the entire front splitter is $1650 cdn plus taxes for a total of $1850 cdn, and I can order the entire splitter from a UK parts company for $1200 shipped including customs and duties ... so something is off. I am hoping the last part number for $750 includes all 3 pieces, the entire front splitter. Wait for Germany to get back to my MB parts associate, or for Sanch to get a price using the ED 1 Coupe vin

Wow. Expensive prices in North America. The three pieces can be ordered separately. I know that the middle piece costs €170 in Germany.

The good thing about this ED1 splitter instead of a carbon one, is that it's made of flexible plastic. I scraped the front a few times, but the splitter is still intact.

Unfortunately that was the price I was quoted U.S. too, the right piece was quoted for like $600 or something for some reason. A rip off for a piece of unpainted plastic.
