No way. I was at the dealership and tested both cars that were parked next to each other. I was going back and forth between the option and decided to order it when I heard it. The non-dynamic is not louder when the performance exhaust's valves are open. The lower frequencies (bass) are more pronounced throughout the entire RPM range with the performance exhaust. I can definitely say that the performance exhaust is quieter when the valves are closed compared to the stock exhaust. There was a clear difference between the two and even the pops and burbles were louder.
