Check front right sidemarker lamp messags

Hey, so I picked up my car last night. A brilliant blue C63S sedan. This morning, I pull into the garage and get this "check front right sidemarker lamp" message on the dash and when I do check it, that light in fact isn't working. The one on the other side is working no problem but this one is not. I'm planning on taking it back to mercedes but is it bad that this happened the first day of ownership? Would it be a fast and easy fix?

You think so?? I special ordered this car and I'm really upset about this.. waited 6 months for it. The sedans are made in Alabama so the quality of the build apart from the engine may be lowered

It could just be a bad bulb or LED or whatever they are. Wouldn't worry about. They probably just pop off the side marker and change it out.

thank you, it's really small and I'd never notice that if the car didn't tell me that. Could it just be a bad fuse and it'll work again after a few hours off? It was working last night so I don't see why it wouldn't work now.

There probably isn't a fuse just for a single bulb otherwise the car would have a thousand fuses for everything. I would think it just a bulb that went bad. Call your SA and let him know. Probably a 10 minute fix

Same exact thing happened to mine right after delivery. One of the wires connected to the passenger side's parking light was not secured properly from the factory so they tightened it and problem solved. So don't worry about it if it does not bother you too much.

thank you, I'm glad it wasn't anything too serious. I'll bring it in tomorrow morning and I'm positive it's nothing bad. This guy at the dealership said it could be also a computer glitch that can fix itself after a couple hours but worst case is a loose wire or a bad LED. But considering the car is brand new and LEDs last decades it's probably the wiring just like on your car. Thank you!

Same issue here in my coupe! Dealer told me it was due to low voltage errors from my aftermarket camera... I knew that was bull****!

I turned my car back on after a few hours, and it basically fixed itself. The warning message came on, but the light was working. Then, an hour after, I came back to the car to head home after having driven it a few miles and when I started it up the message didn't even come up and the car showed no issues. My salesperson said it was likely a computer glitch that usually goes away after a power cycle, so I'm guessing it's that. I was going to bring it in tomorrow but I'll just go back to MB Wednesday since that's when I drop off my C450 for a scratch repair and then I'll get the C63 checked out just in case.

Sure enough. It turned itself off after turning the motor on and off. Will obviously monitor the situation and call the dealership tomorrow.

If the problem is still happening today what difference does the date make? Better than starting a new thread to ask about it, and maybe someone would have a helpful suggestion on the matter. Anyhoo,

Agreed.
My dealer never solved my issue, after two attempts.
Ironically, it never came back.
I hear it's a software issue.

Thanks. Going to the dealer in a bit to check for loose fittings but without the warning message displayed probably not a lot they can do. Will post findings later.

They even replaced the headlight on mine...
No joy.
The code will be stored.
But I always take a picture of the display anyway.
The marker light is actually off when the code occurs.

Either control board/sensor something or bad headlamp, but their diagnostics showed a problem. Leaving the car as they will have to most likely order parts. Disappointing that it happened so soon into ownership but the dealership has been great thus far. Leaving in a loaner that works for me.

Replacing the headlight assembly won't work...
Mine returned just two days after they replaced it...
They had already replaced the harness....

got the car back......error code was found......a ground fault was found on the right side (side marker lamp was not working, wouldn't work with the new left control module either).....replaced both headlamps and lamp control modules. i believe they removed the units from another new c63s at the dealership (they have a couple).

happy to have the car back and fixed.

It is Bad omen

I had 2008 Jeep Compass from a dealership the left light went out then I used the brights because it made the left light work then I ended up crashing into a telephone pole in the alley it fell 75% of the way down
