2017 C63s Coupe
Baby car seat... Any help?
So I just bought a C63s Coupe... yes I know it's not necessary a family car or a kid friendly car (I have a X5M for that)... but I would like to drive it from time to time with my daughter (who is 1 years old).
Anyone know a good brand for a slightly more compact backwards facing car seat (i.e. convertible car seat is the more technical term). These things are MASSIVE... I'm not sure it's even feasible to fit one in the car (unless maybe the front seat is all the way forward...)
Please let me know and if you have one that works, please feel free to post any pictures.
This is my first foray into Mercedes... I'm stoked... always been a BMW guy so I feel like I'm going to the dark side...

Welcome to the right side my young apprentice.
Recaro used to make a cool seat. I had it installed in my w204 c63 when my son was born... But it was a sedan.
Sorry not much help... But I felt compelled to reply 😉

Combi makes a good rear facing that fit in my CLA45, which had just as small of a backseat as the C63 coupe. My wife is 5'5" and was able to sit comfortably in the front seat ahead of it with it installed. However, I can imagine how big of a PITA it'll be trying to get them in-and-out of a 2-door.
I currently run Recaros in the C63 sedan and the 911, but they're front facing.

Wish I could help; I've got a carseat in my sedan but my son's 4 so it's forward-facing. So really, nothing relevant to your situation. ; )

'15 C63S
I have a Clek Fllo (yes, that's spelled correctly) in the backseat of my '15 sedan. I've used it since my son turned 1 (he's now 3), and it works great. I can't put the passenger seat all the way back (no foot room for him), but with the seat in a middle position my wife (5'7") fits in the passenger seat perfectly fine with him in the back.
Don't know how that'll translate directly to a coupe, but I don't think you'll find anything worthwhile that's significantly smaller than the one I have.
Edit: Since my son is older, he's now forward-facing. They say wait until they are 2 years old before switching the seat around, but I never had this seat rear-facing in my C63S so I don't know the fit in that position. Granted he was 18 months when I got my car, so I figured he was close enough to just go ahead with the forward-facing position.

I've heard the combi cocorro is pretty good. That'll be the first one I check out. Also am looking into the Chicco Nextfit (if anyone has feedback on the Chicco I would appreciate it)
as for bgm130... everyone can make their own decisions... it was a great one for me... and besides, that's why I have a X5M... still a <4 sec family hauler

I have a Maxi-Cosi Axissfix in my C63 Estate. The big bonus is it spins around which makes getting the monster in and out really easy. It's both forward and rear facing depending on flicking a switch, so might make it easier to get them in facing forward, then spin around to rear before setting off.

The Maxi-Cosi Pria is the most compact "quality" car seat you're likely to find. It fit rearward facing in the back of my IS-F, which had a laughable amount of space with the massive front sport seats.
That said, there are a number of cheap convertible car seats that are quite compact--basically the Cosco seats that are nothing more than a padded plastic shell. We have one that has become our travel car seat for checking on airlines. Up to you as a parent if you are ok with your kid being in a budget seat--I'm not 100% comfortable with it and definitely wouldn't use it as a daily seat.

2017 C63s Coupe
Update: the maxi-cosi pria 70 fits FINE in the back seat; I still need to experiment a little between settings 2 and 3 to make sure it is setting properly but on setting 3 there is ample room for my wife to sit in the front seat (seat has to definitely be more vertical and pushed in but it FITS).
We're also going to buy the combi cocorro as our travel car seat so I will experiment with that as well.
