2017 C63 S v. 2017 C63
Both the C63 S and the C63 have a 4.0L V8 biturbo engine. The C63 S has 503 horsepower/516 lb-ft of toque while the C63 has 469 hp/479 lb-ft torque. What is different about the C63 S that gives it 34 more horsepower and 37 more torque?

Speaking of a tune, why not tune the S model engine power up even more? Apparently with aftermarket mods we can have it up to 600hp. Why doesn't the factory do it?

theyre doing it now on the E63S and new S63. Similar to when they were using the 6.2L V8's. The C class got a milder tune while the rest of the fleet got a slightly more aggressive tune.

MBWorld Fanatic!
It's not just an ECU tune as has been done in the C63 vs C63S, the engine in the the E63 has different upgraded twin scroll and greater mass airflow turbos, upgraded induction system and many other changes to its hardware, that being said the difference between the new E63 and E63S is again just a different ECU tune between them as in the new C63 variants.
Similar applied for the previous 6.2ltr engine, they were not just different ECU tunes from model to model, the top spec models had different/stronger internals and many other specific hardware differences, even the definitive 507's M156 had different internals from the rest of the 204 series C63's.

Silly question. I hate front license plates. Never had one in my Vette.
Do so I just unscrew the 2 screws holding it in? Or foes it leave holes showing?
If it does leave holes, are there caps to put in there?
do YOU guys like a front plate? It detracts from the beauty of the car IMO.

Took off license plate cover 2 screws that have holes pre-drilled and look like part of bumper. Then License Plastic Rectangle Solid Base held by 2 sharp screws.
Those 2 screws go through the plastic of the front bumper. So now there are 2 small screw holes.
Not sure how noticeable they are? I could always put the Black License Plate Base and just not have a front plate.

Texas,
You can have have the holes filled and repaired by a mobile touch up guy, but may require painting part of the bumper. The other option is to go to www.bumperplugs.com and get a set of plugs to fill in the holes.
