Greeting from Nor-Cal and opinion on paint protection

Hi guys,

Just got my 2016 C63s sedan, and I'm looking for some paint protection options for it. Do you guys just use clear bra?

It it would also be great if all you folks from Nor-Cal can recommend a good shop for wrapping and detailing.

Pleasure to join the MB family haha.

Thanks!

Depends on where in NorCal. In Sacramento, I've had everything done at Imperial Works. They do incredible work...ive had a tone of work done by them

I've got Xpel Stealth on mine if you ever want to see it in person.

I just had Gtech ceramic coating put on my car and rims(it was applied with an airbrush). I am very happy with it. Water just beads up and slips right off the car as does dust. The rims stay 100% cleaner. It has only been a month and this is the first time I used it so I do not have any long term experience with the product.
But so far it has exceeded all my expectations.

It does come out awesome. My C63 got quite a bit attention in Monterey last year during the AMG Private Lounge event, even though it wasn't exactly anything special besides the wrap.

Honestly though, the GREATEST thing about it? I park it outside at home and at work, and there's lots of birds around. You don't know the stress relief of not having to freak out when I see bird crap on the car.

EDIT: I won't recommend the place I got the wrap at though. They did a poor job, including cutting directly on my paint (so I have some clearcoat missing now) and not really cleanly finishing the edges, so there's some spots that are lifting already. I'll probably redo the panels that have the issues when things get worse. I did pay a ridiculously low amount (<4k) so I get what I paid for I guess. Other reputable places were quoting me 7-8k.

That looks awesome! A shop that I really like nearby quoted me over 8k, so I dcided to stick with the original paint for a while and go with wrap later.. coming from the JDM world and just really cannot justify spending that much money on paint protection haha.
