Catback power gains?
The biggest benefit is the weight reduction if it's a light catback, but as most have said this is mostly for sound. Though personally, I think the stock performance exhaust sounds way better than any of the aftermarket exhausts I've heard. And catless downpipes just ruin the deep exhaust sound with all that added rasp.
I'm eventually going to buy the active valve module that keep the stock valves 100% open - that'll give the stock exhaust a lot more volume because with OEM programming the valves are never completely open unless you are under full load.
I'm also a fan of the secondary cat delete with performance exhaust, but don't like the idea of hacking up the expensive converters.
