When will 2018 C63s be released?
Does anyone know when the 2018 C63s sedans will be released? Mine is sitting at the port. Mercedes has an EPA hold on it and hasn't released it yet.

No clue, a bunch of cars are held up... the AMG GT R are held at port for MONTHS now due to the VW Diesel scandal. Even 2018 Porsches cant be released.

My 2018 coupe has been held at the port for almost 3 weeks now. Just spoke with my dealer and was told that the cars were supposed to be released last month and Mercedes stopped their release.
When pressed for for a date of release I was told that they think it could be before the end of the month; however, they could not guarantee.

Mine has been at port since August 16th and no word from my dealer as to when it will arrive at the dealership. I just hope Hurricane Irma does not destroy our cars at the port. Not sure how that port holds up to flooding. They are sitting ducks!!!

My dealer emailed me this morning saying Mercedes-Benz is telling them the 2018s will be released "in the near future." So vague. This week? This month? This year? I'm not even really concerned about the wait, it's the uncertainty that bothers me.
It would be nice if they could just tell us exactly what is going on. Everyone assumes it is EPA certification or something related to the emissions software, but it would be nice to know for sure. Also, I'm pretty certain someone somewhere knows exactly when they will be released.

As someone who has never custom ordered a new car, just curious.
Is there a guaranteed delivery by date? Id be pretty upset if I bought a car for let's say, summer, and it doesn't get delivered till late fall/early winter.

Using our experience from last year on our sedan, August build date, released and picked up in 1st week of October. Same exact scenario you guys are describing above.
I am waiting for my cabriolet this year. August build, shipped and sitting in SoCal, waiting patiently as well, but setting my expectation it could be another 4 weeks.

So just got a text from my dealer telling me my car has been released to the carrier. I asked him if he knew when it will arrive at the dealership and his response was "When the truck pulls up". Totally unacceptable! Can they track these cars on the carriers like they do on the ships? Ugh!!!

I am seeing pictures on the Porsche forums with cars arriving with heavy corrosion on the rotors and brake assemblies. No Bueno. If my C63 arrives looking like the pictures I have seen thus far - I will take my deposit back and rethink this. I am already uncomfortable with taking a car that has been baking in the sun for nearly a month and sitting next to the ocean.

I agree with you, there is no way that a big luxury car maker can not track their inventory. I will be inspecting my car or shall I say their car for corrosion and damage that it might have from sitting at the port exposed for so long. So frustrating!

Often the carriers need to be assigned and they have multiple cars to pickup. That may be why they don't have an arrival date yet. Keep us updated.

They might have a hold but it would be at the factory in Vance.

Last year our sedan was built in Alabama mid August then shipped to Long Beach and held there until Mercedes released it in early October. Once the release was approved, it took just a few days to truck it from SoCal to NorCal.

Good to hear the coupes are getting released to dealers. Checked with our dealer Friday, and our Cabriolet is still not released. Hopefully soon.
Cabriolet 2nd decade of August build. Arrived In SoCal early Sept. awaiting Mercedes corporate release.

It is sent on rail to long beach/distribution center. Then trucked to your dealer. Mine did the same

Update...just got a text from my dealer that the 2018's were released last week and that my car has been assigned a truck and I should have it by the end of the week. They told me that no cars have been shipped yet and that they are waiting until the storms passes and that they have all the AMG's covered to protect them. Will see what happens.

Anyone have the car at the baltimore VPC and have any updates on the C63s? My dealer doesn't give me any updates, just tells me when its gonna show up. But I would like an ETA.
