Shippers/Carriers
Anywyay... I'm buying a brand new '17 C63S from a dealership in Colorado. However, I live in Chicago. Haven't decided if I should fly out and drive it back or ship from CO to IL.
Can anyone recommend a highly reputable carrier that won't break the bank? I'm looking to pay b/w $500 - $1000... I, of course prefer covered/enclosed shipping...
Appreciate all insight.
Thanks in advance!
relaible carriers is a good tranport as welll and i would probably try them next. I wouldnt think that youll be able to get enclosed for under 1k. just saying. also there are 2 types of enclosed. hard side and mesh side. hard side enclosed will be most expensive. with mesh side being slightly cheaper. open transport being the cheapest.

Bottom line is, you get what you pay for.
If you go with a broker, you're rolling the dice with who's going to actually transport your car. I've had some positive experiences, and I had one where the guy arrived 2 days early, and didn't want to wait, so he literally dropped off the car unannounced, unattended, without anyone to sign for it. Yes, you read that right.
For cars that were irreplaceable, I've used Horseless Carriage (owner-operator), which is expensive, and of course, the best in the market, Intercity Lines. Best reputation, and very reasonably priced. And you know exactly what you're paying for, and you get it. Every time.
In short, the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of a low price is forgotten. Food for thought my friend..
