Mode Carbon Luftstrom Diffuser installed on my C43 Sedan
Hey guys, so I have a C43 sedan and had been told by a number of people that a diffuser
swap with the C63 sedan wasn't that bad. I ordered the Mode Carbon Luftstrom diffuser
from Mode Carbon (they never assured fitment so not their fault), waited 2 months for it,
and the OEM C63 tips and OEM brackets from my dealership. Well after a lot of time and $
wasted, realized there is no way I'm going to get this thing to fit. Anyways, let me know if
anyone has interest in it send me a PM, it's painted gloss black (cost me an extra $150 )
Thanks.

I would recommend you update your thread title, so others and Mode Carbon don't feel that this is misrepresented. Your title indicates this was an issue with Mode Carbon (the company, fitment, or product failure). But you state clearly it was not.

I did but not sure how long it takes to change as it's not updating immediately. That being said I clearly state in my post what happened and said it had nothing to do with the diffuser but in my attempt at the swap. If you draw conclusions of a post based on your interpretation of the title, then that's your problem for not taking the time to actually read what the post is saying.

Does it fit the opening, but just the mounting brackets are an issue? You getting a quick turn on the brackets? I know the front end of the C43 and C63 are different, but didn’t think the rear was much different on the sedan. Hope it works out for you.

Thanks. Ya the new brackets will be here next week so I'm hoping that solves my problem, just incorrect hardware that I had. Yes, the size of the sedans are the same so it fits in the space, it's just the mounting of it that has been challenging. I'll update again next week.

Can you share the accurate bracket part numbers? I will likely unload my Mode Carbon W205 diffuser, and go with a C63 one with tips also.

Thanks, haven't had a chance to post yet but here is a terrible pic but gives an idea. It looks incredible in person, photos don't do it justice.
2 brackets needed, these are 100% correct!

Can somebody help me on how to change the title of my thread. I changed it, gave reason and submit but can't get it to take. Thanks! I don't want to mislead anyone about Mode Carbon as their product and service is second to none. Big thanks to Sam for all his help through the process.

Issues after the install...
I feel like it should be pointed out to others considering doing this swap...I just had the same rear diffuser by Mode Carbon installed on my 2018 C43 AMG, and while I purchased the exact brackets the users here said were required for a swap, a few disadvantages come up after the install is complete...
First off, the Mode Carbon rear diffuser lacks a bracket needed that the MB one has to hold the backup sensors in place. My bodywork shop had to cut this one from the MB part and glue it to the MC diffuser with a double epoxy. This discovery led to them keeping my car overnight. No big deal.
Second, the MB chrome exhaust tips had to be cut out of the MB diffuser, leading them to be useless for resale. While I was planning on keeping them, according to my body shop the parts were destroyed in the process.
Third, and a major issue I think that Mode Carbon should address, is the backup sensors constantly believe there is something directly behind you when the car is put in reverse, so you get that constant solid beep while backing up. This is due to the aggressive nature of the diffuser, and how close the mold comes to the sensors. This may render the auto-park function unable to do its job. I have never used that function, but I’m sure someone will miss it. Looking at the design, I am sure this would affect the C63 as well.
The one function that I do miss that you don’t think about until its gone is the ability to open the trunk by kicking your foot underneath the car. I have yet to look to see where that sensor is but it could very well be covered up by the new diffuser.
At the end of the day, I prefer the look of the car now over missing these features, although that beep does get annoying for long reverse driving. The diffuser does look amazing and so much better than what was there before. You also have to install the C63 exhaust tips for this to fit, which I think is a HUGE improvement over the stock C43 tips. If I hear from MB or MC regarding these issues, I will certainly post them.

Everything you are saying seems accurate to my experience with the exception of this:
"the MB chrome exhaust tips had to be cut out of the MB diffuser, leading them to be useless for resale. While I was planning on keeping them, according to my body shop the parts were destroyed in the process. "
There is no way that is the case, they must have damaged them and told you this but they come off no problem, they are just bolt-ons and aren't
even attached to the exhaust, they are just faux tips. I sold mine to a guy on this forum and he can tell you that they were absolutely perfect condition
after having them removed from the stock diffuser.

Did you ever bring your 43 in to MB for service to take care of the backup camera sensors? Mode Carbon says the sensor issue should not be happening...based on my research, if one sensor isn’t reinstalled correctly, or a glue is used and overheats on the sensor, the whole system stops working. I have an appointment with MB next week but I was just curious if the issue still persists for you, or if it ever fixed itself.
