these don't work with an E63S AMG

however, you don't need them. here's why

if you tried these and your car went into limp mode, your CPC_NG was throwing these fault codes:

a good tuner can give you a CPC_NG tune with:

vmax raised to 360km/h
torque limits raised to 1000nm
infotainment dynamic horsepower + torque numbers raised to match
exhaust flaps DTC disabled

Just a heads up, I didn't like the fact that I bought these just recently...unopened box/product for $63 well call it & processed for a refund as I've decided to go with module.

AWE refunded $39 of the $63 for an unopened untouched item...emailed them back the day of the refund and been 2 weeks no with no response. Email below was sent 6/24...

The code can only be reset at a MB dealer or shop that has MB specific tools, so it's a PITA to get.

Also, in the write-up I talk about still making sure the exhaust button is ON. Even though the button no longer controls the two rear exhaust valves, keeping the exhaust button on allows the valve in the H-Pipe to open more aggressively in Sport+ and Race mode.

Phorte - My ASR module was out for delivery today, but I didn't receive it. It should be here tomorrow so I will test one of the simulators on the H-Pipe when I remove them for the ASR install.
hey mate i have a quick question... how will you know if the if the exhaust button is ON when running Simulators? I mean the red lights were always ON already on the button? Any other ways to make sure its open?

also, its the same procedure when removing the simulators? Turn off and lock the car leave it for 10 minutes then unplug the simulators and switch back to stock. Thank yo

Just press the factory exhaust button so it’s lit up red. It’ll automatically do this when you select Sport+ and Race mode. So it’s really only when you’re in comfort and sport mode that the exhaust valve button would be off by default.

And yes, to switch back to stock, simply reverse the procedure (allowing the car to “sleep”), remove the sims and plug the factory valve connectors back in.

Where is the connection to attach the simulators? Are they located under the car, In the trunk etc?

Just bought the AWE simulators, and I'm eager to install them :-)

Installed them properly, left the car for 15min with the key in a drawer on the other side of the house, unplugged and installed the sims, but still got the limp
mode. Only making 300hp on the readout.
should I revert to stock or go try to get the fault cleared?

2016 C63S sedan so the 2019 thing earlier in this thread. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

pic for attention

Happy new year everyone!

So basically all I need to keep my exhaust flaps open all the time is the AWE tuning electronic valve simulators? https://www.etektuning.com/awe-tunin...ve-simulators/

I'm a little confused cuz I read some of you have the ASR module so not sure if I need a module plus these simulators.

Just tried the AWE sims on my 2021 C63s, same result as some others here, only produced 300bhp. To be fair it does say on AWE’s website that they’re not compatible with the face lift cars, but I thought I’d give it a go anyway.
