Gone for the IPE
So I have decided and i am not getting the downpipes not keen on dropping the gearbox or cutting the existing cats... I have gone for an IPE in stainless steel... I hope they sound as good in real life as they do on videos.... and i hope hey dont drone much on the highway!! a bit unclear if I can still use the valve buttons I have on the car at the moment? anyone who has an IPE your comments on the exhaust are appreciated!!! |
That's a catback exhaust, right? If so, your PE exhaust button will no longer work... I think they give you a remote control to control the valves on the IPE's...
You could have just gone in on the group buy with the ASR Module and had valves 100% open all the time... gives you the exact same thing with a remote to control your valves to open 100% all of the time... should give you close to the same result if you're not changing your DP's anyways... and IMHO the PE is pretty good as is. But hey, looking forward to some vids of the IPE! Congrats. |

What are we looking at here ? loss of power with IPE ?
|
The crappy flow and power loss of IPE
|
IPE sucks. Cancel your order if it isn't too late. FI system is a solid option for less. AutoTalent also has the AWE Track at a steal if you don't care for the valves.
|
Really! I thought power loss was with the titanium exhaust!? Didn’t want the AWE track because of the drone... IPE is really that bad, I was told it works with the buttons in the cabin?! Power loss really concerns me!!?? I paid the company in the USA and I’m in London by bank transfer not sure how easy it will be to get my money back... |
No drone with my AWE system
|
You have no drone with the track AWE on the highway.. so do many people have the IPE system and are unhappy with t would love to hear from people!! |
Just a couple of things to confirm for others wondering: iPE comes with a remote control module as standard but you do not have to connect it. You can still utilize the Mercedes Performance Exhaust function to open and close the valves. You can toss the remote control module or install it as a secondary way to open and close the valves. Can the user who uploaded the two dyno graphs provide us with more information? Those two photos are far different from the results that we have seen personally. |
