2017 C63S Coupe Exhaust Rattles - sound module solution?
I've had a rattle in my exhaust which from reading other threads seems to be a defective butterfly valve. In some cases, the flaps seems to not even open as if it I have them closed because the car becomes super quiet. Neither of the MB dealerships I've taken my car to are willing to replace the defective part. The rattle occurs mostlyfrom 1st-3rd gear between 2-4K RPM which leads me to believe that when the Dynamic valves are not fully open is when they rattle. Would purchasing the Sound Module which keep flaps fully open potentially solve this issue? I really don't have time to keep arguing with the dealer.

Hey Art,
thanks for reply but I don't this is my problem. I believe my exhaust is deficient as many in the 17 C63s and early model GTS owners also had this issue. There was a bulletin at some point but I can't find it. The only "solution" I've been offered was lubrating the valves which was temporary and possibly cutting power to ECU which had me running out of the dealer real quick!
