C63 software logic: transmission/exhaust related
- Exhaust gets quieter at idle when you fully depress brake pedal
- Exhaust gets quieter in Manual mode (with fewer pops/cracks)
- Exhaust stays quieter when you flip back to Auto from Manual
- Exhaust resumes "louder" behavior in Auto only after shutting off car and restarting.
- Exhaust get's quieter (even with aggressive driving) after having driven for some time conservatively (such as in freeway traffic).
- Exhaust tone is best from 2500-4000 RPMs
- Exhaust is relatively quiet at full throttle (mostly mechanical and road noise)
Anyone else have these (or others)?

The main frustration I have is it sounds and shifts perfect sometimes, but for the most part, the computer (not me) is making those decisions (seemingly randomly). Just wish AMG would be more transparent about the software program logic so we could know what triggers the different behaviors (e.g. shifts, exhaust valves, pops/cracks).
I had a loss of power on an intermittent basis and was regained with a restart.
Mine is a 2016 sedan and they had a TSB on a vacuum hose on the turbos and after replacement it never happened again. This might not be your problem but it is another tool to use.
